I thought I remembered seeing an article awhile back explaining why the traditional snake draft is not fair (statistically speaking), and if you're not going to go to an auction format then you should at least go to a format where round 3 order is the same as round 2 and then the snake continues with round 4. But search as I might, I cannot find it. Can anyone supply me with a URL to an article (whether on this site or elsewhere) on this topic? One of my leagues just changed to this system and one of the owners is complaining that it's unfair. I'd like to rebut that claim.

My 14 team league is moving to this format from a standard snake of rds 1 & 2 with random odd rounds (snake even). Our draft is Sunday so I'm kind of excited to see how it works.
