4 sweeps (1 Viewer)

4 sweeps and really only 3 competitive, compelling games out of the 10 played thus far. Add on that a Colorado vs. Zona NLCS, who while fine, deserving teams, are new franchises in lesser-light markets(strictly by comparison to Philly-Chicago). They've done far better than I would have guessed, but there are some issues(not exactly well-directed games, rather short on cameras to cover the action) and they have to get rid of this putz in the flashy outfits in the stands, but the commentators are reasonable for being national and not following the teams and Ripken has been strong in studio.

I think we will get that Cleveland-Zona series, and the tribe could be ready to break their 60 year curse.

Anything to not have to listen to that arrogant ##### Joe Buck is fine with me.
 Amen. I don't think I dislike any broadcaster more than him considering he is the main guy for Fox in both football and baseball. He has way too many opinions for a play by play guy. That's why they have analysts sitting next to him.

I don't know how anybody can argue about TBS. It's been bliss compared to that #### product Fox puts out.

Christ, last night they actually showed parts of the....the...CELEBRATION!! What a novel idea. Instead of turning to that horse Jeannie Zelasko to give a player (who would much rather be with his teammates) some ####ty $15,000 truck, you actually got to see the guys celebrate in the clubhouse. What an idea.

Seriously, #### Fox. They can't lose the rights fast enough.

Not having to deal with Buck/McCarver and the ESPN blowhards is a very nice change.

I've been impressed with the TBS coverage. :)

No problem with the coverage but they really take the crowd out of the game with their terrible, muffled audio. The broadcasts really lack some excitement when you cant "feel" the crowd.

This has probably been mentioned in another thread but I found Stephen King's interview hilarious. Paraphrasing off of memory here, he was reading a book and said that he normally can get through 18 pages per _________. But now that Fox had the rights, he could double that with all the extended commercial breaks and whatever else they broadcast instead of the game. Fox reporter looked stunned.

:goodposting: they should go to him more often if he wants to be on, he was really funny, and this is from a Yankee fan who's team he trashed. That was good stuff with him!

So in the final tally, out of a maximum 27 games they could have played and aired, TBS only got 17, one over the minimum. That's a whole lot of Everybody Loves Raymond Reruns!
