Do they have a vaccine for high-fiving? Or like if you're just a high-fiving mother****er and you're out of control (you're not even worried about the money) is the antidote blasting Local H and reveling in it all?

You high-fiving mother****ers. You high-fiving mother****er.

Your haircut is atrocious been the same since '83

Do you get paid daily for each high 5 or is it cumulative at the end of the year?

Regardless, per high 5 is an easy answer. I'm hitting the road and going to concerts, sporting events, Mardi Gras, and other crowded events. Blow past $250g easy.

I'm an introvert so my first impulse was $250k. But thinking about it more I think I would flip.

You could go to a football game, wear the home team jersey, and just walk up and down the aisles high fiving and probably get 1000 high fives in a day.

5 of those and you're break even. Then rinse and repeat with basketball, hockey, etc.
:goodposting: This is my thought as well. Also, I am usually about taking the guaranteed money. But I was at the Dodgers Angels game the other day and how easy would it be to just start high fiving? Even an introvert can just walk through the stadium with their hand up getting it done. Couple HFs pay for your tickets then off and running.

Then add in your work and your friends? Play on a sports team? You have all your team once, then every team you play....

I would want to wear rubber gloves, but the likelihood of a random person walking down the street and giving me a high-five while I'm wearing them would be slim.

I will say - we did a team building activity at work. Group of about 60 people from all around the world. The activity was to quickly give as many high-fives as you could in 5 seconds, 10 seconds, etc. The activity was cool because you very quickly discovered the group instinctively formed lines that passed each other allowing everyone to constantly give high-fives.

With that said, the angst of the group after the exercise where we were all forced to sit for 30 minutes or so until the next break knowing we essentially shared hand germs with 60 people and as many geographies was kind of comical. Some folks were really struggling.

Most days I don't leave my street. This is a lot easier of a decision than the bowling one. I guess if I went bowling more, I could kill 2 birds with one stone. I think I'd rather just pocket the $375k and keep the current routine.

Voted $250k on this one but am rethinking that. Travel around to random big college football games, find the popular tailgate spots, go overboard with the home team colors/wear a home team themed costume. The goofier the better. You could probably knock out a thousand in a morning. Maybe get a double header if a later game was close enough. Would have to subtract travel and clothing costs, but wouldn't need a ticket to the actual games.

That would actually be fun.

I'm sorry, but anyone choosing the 250K is dumb. This is an easy tens of millions of dollars thing. I could go to any part of any somewhat major city's downtown and get 500 high fives in a couple hours easy. You do that, and sprinkle in several large sporting/music events a month and I am looking at 10 million easy

Work hard for a year for life-altering money vs. a lazy 250k.

I mean a guy got 15,000 high fives in a day just to get a world record. If there was 50 bucks attached to every high five I imagine the world record would be like 50,000 high fives, which would be 2.5 million.

It's not even workign hard. Sure you could work hard, and probably make 50 million. But you could barely work and make 10 million

Go to a big college campus. Put an ad in the school newspaper offering $10 for a high five. So you only get $40 per high five but you'll have a line around the campus thousands of students long. Hire someone to stand behind you to hand out ten dollar bills and stamp hands so you'll know who already high fived. Make $40 every 3-4 seconds. Go to a different school every day. I may try it.

I think you hit on something - social media could make this blow up. If people can crowd-source $50,000 for a grandmother who can't afford to mow her lawn, imagine how many people you could get to mobilize in a large city if you said, "Some crazy person said they'd pay me $50 per high-five. Come to the south-west corner of Central Park and give me a high-five on Saturday from noon till 5."

I'm pretty clearly an extrovert because this actually sounds fun.

I'd do an NFL, NBA and MLB national tour. Hit 2 games a week with a goal of 250 high fives just walking around before and after the game. That's $1.3 million for having a great time.
Exactly, put in a little travel time and you could make way more in a year and have a blast doing it. Someone mentioned above, you could have a t-shirt made for each home team and then you don’t even have to ask people. $250k is 50k high fives. Park yourself at a gate on one side of the stadium before the game get a ton of people coming in that are likely on one side and then go into the gate on the other side and just walk around. Not even mentioning about tailgating before the games. 5 big games and you are already even. MLB and NBA games make it even easier because you have weekday/week night games to fill in around one college and one NFL game weekend.

Might annoy the wife a bit but my last son graduates HS in May so I’d have 5 big football stadiums to hit and see my boys (one out of college but lives next to a few big universities). One year and I’m retired with way millions. Palm may be a little sore and my hand sanitizer spend won’t be cheap but they still sell it at Costco.

I've pm'd the OP my name, ssn, bank routing information yet still no $250k in my bank. I'm starting to think this might not be legit. . . .
That's cause he knows that anyone choosing the 250K over the 50 bucks per high five can't be a real person because it is such a dumb decision

Yes of course you're right, what was I thinking? I mean expecting the $250k in my account was so unrealistic compared to getting $50 per high five. I should have known i would have to do something that would require so much more thought, hard work and effort.

I’m hung up on the unique part of the challenge. Does that mean never the same person or a unique different high five. If it’s just a high five. I go a high fiving!

No way I can do 5000 unique high fives, each with a different person, in one year.
As other said, if you made it your job you'd kill it. Get an apartment next to an arena and go to every convention/game/event/rally and rake in the cash. Be a pickup soccer goalie. Work hard to make yourself go viral so randos seek you out to high-five. Go to India for their holi festival. Carnivale. Mardi Gras. Tour de France. Hit all the London soccer stadiums. You could do a lot of cool stuff and make money doing it.

I mean I could get 5000 unique high fives in a year without even changing my way of life. I got to maybe 1/2 dozen music shows in a year. I got a few baseball games. Take my kids to museums. I go to a few outdoor festivals. I go watch my wife's 5K and 10K races. If I just raised my hand every half hour throughout my day, I would get more than 5K in a year

Love this post especially this part. I'd love to see some guy giving high fives at a museum. :ROFLMAO:
