57th Grammy Awards Sucked (1 Viewer)

There are also way too many Grammy award categories. I laughed when they said Kanye West was a 57 time Grammy nominee. 57!? For that guy?
this was amazing too me as well...i just looked up what he has actually done...the majority of his nominations are either with Jayz and/or Rhianna. Without these two his resume is very thin and if you take away collaberations he has done basically nothing by himself. This makes more sense to me now....
You mean post '09...
Solo = two in '05, two in '06, two in '07 & one in 2012. Nothing to sneeze at but not nearly the shock and awe of the the 57 nominations....

3 albums in a row won the Grammy for Best Rap Album...he dominated rap for a few years.

So saying he's done nothing isn't true...but agree it's overblown in total.

The absolute worst part of the show was the bit with edelman and Butler. It started with the other guy tripping as he walked up the stairs and then came botched, terrible jokes by Edelman and some issues with reading by Butler. Maybe the worst presenters in award show history. Stick to the pigskin guys

The show was worth it for me just to see Tony Bennett singing with Lady Gaga. I saw a great interview with the two of them on the red carpet, and they really seem to have established a great friendship. It brought out my inner Italian-American.

That and McGarnicle's commentary made the evening worthwhile.

I'm sure there were no doubt some moments last night worth watching but I can't get past McCartney performing with the likes of Kanye so I passed on the whole thing. That is equal to watching Taylor Swift sing a duet with Patsy Cline.
