7 Favorite Critically Panned Movies You'll Watch Everytime (1 Viewer)

I know its not low budget but something about "Scott Pilgrim vs the World" keeps me coming back. Such a dumb movie but I still watch every time.

On IFC right now.

Conan the Barbarian

Hardbodies(probably 'C' list)

The Last Star Fighter

Lots of 'em really. Too many to name.

Caught that one for the first time last night. I liked the quirkiness but I can see it getting old after the 12th viewing or so.

The comedic timing is pretty good. I love Chris Evans part as the dooshy actor skateboarder guy. Has me rolling every time.

I was wrong about it getting old the more I see it. WAY wrong.

Whoever said Rocky IV was bad should be shot in the face.

The rest of you should be shot in the face, for not mentioning Gymkata.

I'll watch Kingdom Of Heaven whenever I happen by it. I don't know if it counts here: 39% critic but 72% audience on rotten tomatoes.

All Rotten on Rotten Tomatoes(by critics),

The Family Man

Deep Impact

The Breakup

Rock Star

The Quick and the Dead

A Night at the Roxbury

Waterworld

Reign of Fire

Mission to Mars

The Doors

The Bodyguard

Others mentioned also on my list: Kingdom of Heaven, Bloodsport, Roadhouse(obviously)

Solid. Water world is a fav. If I stumble across it I have to lock in for the 3 hours.

Surprised by the high rotten tomatoes score on several movies that I thought I could include...movies like Friday, Boiler Room, Open Range...etc. etc.

Kingdom of Heaven is awesome

Yea Friday was pretty good but Next Friday and Friday after next would be good for this if they weren't just awful.

How could I forget Ocean's 13. Ocean's 11 is another one I watch every time but critics liked that one.

I like both Reign of Fire and Mission to Mars quite a bit. I didn't realize they were panned as bad as they were.

I am surprised at some of the ratings of movies I thought would easily be on the list, as quite a few were over 50%.

I agree with a lot of the posts for the action movies - Roadhouse, etc..

I have a soft spot for ####ty 80s and 90s rom coms so a lot of those showed up:

Can't Buy Me Love

License to Drive

Can't Hardly Wait

Loverboy

stuff like like that

Also ones that I thought would be low rated that I love:

Varsity Blues

Death to Smoochy

Reign of Fire

In H.S., probably 2/3rds of what I watched were horror movies, and I am sure most were critically panned. I will still watch anything in the main series, and lot were horribly received: Friday the 13th, Nighmare on Elm St., Halloween, Child's Play, Hellraiser, Phantasm, Children of the Corn, and on and on. I still get sucked into these during October when they are running marathons on TV.

The first that comes top mind to me is Speed Racer. 39% with the critics at Rotten Tomatoes (60% with users). I think it might be the most successful attempt to recreate a cartoon world in live action.

EDIT: For comedies, Eurotrip seems to fit. Under 50% with the critics. I get that it's uneven, but when it's funny it's really funny.

The weird ones I remember as a kid are the Gate and People under the stairs.

I watched the hell out of Critters too.

A Knight's Tale

Predator

Fight Club

Slapshot

Enemy Mine

Big Lebowski

Bloodsport

Starship Trooper
Not sure people are understanding this thread.
My bad. I didn't realize they were rather well received. Figured based on the content that they were reviewer dogs.
We're not being that strict but Fight Club and Lebowski were pretty well received when they came out.
I don't follow movies when they come out. Didn't know about Lebowski until it was out 10 years and figured it had developed a cult-following like Rocky Horror and that it wasn't a big hit with the critics.

Just watched R.I.P.D.

It has Ryan Reynolds, Kevin Bacon, horrible CGI, a ridiculous plot and cheesy over the top acting. I love it. I can see my self watching this every time.

Rounders

Without A Paddle

Pineapple Express

The Big Lebowski

Superbad

Stepbrothers

Dead Poets Society

Shawshank Redemption (Not B list, but I watch this movie anytime I see it on the TV guide).
