Stumbled across this and didn't think much of it at first but it got great reviews and won Time's 2014 Game of the Year. Thought it would be good to read to my daughter and it has interactive choices to make it interesting.

She's only 6 so I wasn't sure how much she would understand but she loved it and wouldn't let me put it away until I told her I would play with her tomorrow. Easily worth the $5.

When it shipped in July, Inkle claimed that 80 Days was a tale with over half a million words in it — the equivalent of a 1100-page book. That’s more than a life of its own: that’s a parallel universe.

The developers estimate that on one complete circumnavigation of the globe players will see approximately 3% of the game's 500k words of textual content.

Despite being a game, The Telegraph newspaper also named it as "one of the best novels of 2014".[13] The lead writer, Meg Jayanth, was nominated for a UK Writer's Guild award for her work on the project.[

Just bought it. Seems interesting. I'm playing along and I find myself really getting into it. I bought it to following along with the kids so I need to put it down.
