Amen.

Regardless of political beliefs, God bless you all and God bless the USA. I just thought it should be mentioned today. With all my heart, Peace.

FIL recently retired from the FDNY as a pretty senior and highly respected man. Didn't know him 14 years ago, but luckily (for him, my wife, myself, etc.) he was off on 9/11/01. When the planes hit he took off from his house right away for the trade centers. He lives on the outer edge of Brooklyn, so by the time he was getting close the buildings had collapsed. Guy lost most of his ladder that day. Pretty crazy to think of 80% of your direct coworkers dying in one accident and tons of others from different ladders who were buddies. If he lived closer to the towers and got there before they collapsed, guy would've gone racing into the burning buildings like so many other firefighters just to save a stranger's life. These guys are all heroes, FDNY employees run into burning buildings to save strangers from death. God bless these men.

Left Langley Air Force Base at 8pm the night before, landed in Austin at 1am. Slept in, and woke up between the first and second towers getting hit. Will never forget that day.

Less then 20 people changed the US. Did it change thing or better or worse? Could 20 good people do as much good as they did evil?

well it took 20 people a few mere moments to destroy what took 10,000 people 7 years to build...it seems easier to destroy and cause pain than it does to build and create hope

lol....20 good people can for sure do as much good as those fools did evil.

Those fu#ks did nothing except immortalize heroes. Sure, many people died....but that happens all the time everywhere. The world has way, way, way more goodness in it than it does evil. Even in the worst, most screwed up places, people band together; help each other; are good to one another.

If goodness was not happening all the time, we would know right away. No one would be safe, everything would burn. Fortunately, that isn't happening.

Surreal day. I remember the phone calls that I received from friends and family on that day.

"Turn on your TV!" from my cousin.

"We're going to war!" from my brother.

A horrible day filled with terrible images.

Amazingly brave heroes. Bless them and their tremendous sacrifice.

Our response changed us as much as the terrorists did. We came together in a time of need and demonstrated the best of us.

We also then responded by giving up certain freedoms and letting certain authorities assume more power than we ever would have without the attacks.

Yes we came together and passed The Patriot Act, The Freedom Act, and the NDAA.

Did anyone see the ''accident'' that happened in Mecca in Saudi Arabia on 9-11 ? A huge crane was supposedly hit by lightening and fell on a Mosque and killed a bunch of people ....Americans on the internet are calling it Karma

You forgot to mention that the crane was owned by the Bin Laden family business.

The NDAA?
The provisions that suspend habeas corpus and due process because, you know, it's important that the POTUS has the power to unilaterally execute someone that may be, now or in the future, a potential terrorist.
