I think what she means is even though her tumors were gone, there were some rogue cancer cells lurking. You're told you're cancer free but are you really. All it takes is 1 cell that dodged all treatments to wake up. That's why we need to be vigilant for possible symptoms of mets for life because there is no way to be sure.

He lived down in Douglas County CO had a big place near my sisters house there. A big horse ranch and he used to get together some local guys and play at the County Fair and at the park. It was kinda weird seeing him jamming out with some local guys like it was a bar gig. He got busted for overstaying his visa and got kicked out fast - didn't even have time to get rid of ranch in orderly fashion.
