I know the feeling. We moved to the south a few years ago. One of our earlier nights we went to bed and in our bed was a damn rat snake. Horrible. Horrible. For a year I couldnt get in bed without shaking out blankets. Horrible. We moved from Hawaii, that has zero snakes, it was the first snake id seen for literally decades. Scholars explained to me how harmless and good for the area these rat snakes are. Horrible. Ha ha

Wow! Are you living in the woods? I’m in Virginia near some woods and have killed a couple of copperheads OUTSIDE.

So many questions - How do you think it got in your house and then in the bed? Was it under the covers? Did you actually get in bed and then discover it? Did you catch it or kill it?

Step one of the new house was all new appliances. The dryer pipe was open. We assume it got in there and blind luck made it to the bed. Funny thing is that we have a really tall bed. That ******* slithered up it. We discovered the snake in the moments before laying down shaking out blankets. I caught it with a spatula and tongs. Ha ha. Put in a box and released outside. If I wasnt home
, my wife said she would of used my p320 and shot it. Im glad I was home. Ha ha
