Adam Trautman TE Broncos (3 Viewers)

Adam Trautman caught a three-yard pass in the Saints' Week 4 loss to the Giants.

It was Trautman's first grab since Week 1. With the Saints doing everything they can to limit their passing volume, Trautman is miles from TE2 relevance.

Can any homers check in here, please? They have a good OL apparently so why not deploy/use him more as a receiver? Is it just a matter of him being young at a position that takes time to get down? Have your views changed on him at all for dynasty?

Adam Trautman caught all three of his targets for 36 yards in the Saints' Week 7 win over the Seahawks.

Trautman out-targeted Juwan Johnson 3-1 and actually finishes as the Saints' second-leading receiver behind Alvin Kamara's 10-128-1 line. Trautman, however, lost a bad fumble on his final catch of the night, setting Seattle up for a late field goal to tie it up 10-10. Trautman hasn't topped 43 yards in a game this season and has no touchdowns ahead of a Week 8 date with the Bucs.

That fumble didn't help his cause at all.  He's been very disappointing.  I thought he would have been better this season.

Adam Trautman caught 4-of-7 targets for 47 yards in the Saints' Week 9 loss to the Falcons.

With 13 targets over the past two weeks, Trautman has seen his usage rebound after bottoming out in late September/early October, but he has yet to find the end zone or have a 50-yard game this season. One of his missed connections this afternoon was a fourth down drop. Not the way to earn more work. With tight end as down as it is, we can't say Trautman is entirely off the TE2 radar, but he's still not really climbing the ladder despite the recent increased looks.

Adam Trautman caught 5-of-6 targets for 32 yards in the Saints' Week 10 loss to the Titans.

Trautman continues seeing at least some volume as a third or fourth option in the Saints' beleaguered passing offense. He has at least six targets in each of his past three games. Against the Titans, he ran a pass route on 60.5 percent of the Saints' drop backs, not elite by any means, but good enough for streaming purposes in deeper leagues. In Week 11, Trautman gets an Eagles defense giving up the most receptions and receiving yards to opposing tight ends.

Saints placed Adam Trautman (knee) on injured reserve.

This is not a surprise given the 4-6 week recovery timetable Trautman reportedly faces as he recovers from a sprained MCL. Nick Vannett is likely the next person up for New Orleans, but he is not a realistic fantasy option in a lackluster passing attack.

Saints designated Adam Trautman (knee) to return from injured reserve.

Trautman went down with a sprained MCL in Week 11. The initial timeline had him missing 4-6 weeks so it's possible that he remains on injured reserve for another couple of games. The Saints now have 21 days to officially activate him from injured reserve or he will remain there for the remainder of the year. Trautman was averaging 6.8 targets per game in his final four contests before landing on injured reserve. He'll have some volume-based TE2 juice once he returns to the field.

Saints placed TE Adam Trautman on the reserve/COVID list.

Trautman returned from I.R. last week against the Bucs and played 57% of the snaps, catching one pass for four yards in the win. Juwan Johnson and Nick Vannett will handle tight end duties for however long Trautman is out.

I'm down on Trautman, but the QB situation in NO is pretty ugly (or ugly pretty if they are winning). Will hold for next season.

Broncos acquired TE Adam Trautman and a seventh-round pick from the Saints for a sixth-round pick.

The Saints moved up 62 spots for Trautman, who is in the final year of his rookie deal. Trautman reunites with ex-Saints coach Sean Payton, the second time Payton has traded for Trautman after giving up four picks for him in the 2020 draft. The Broncos are a good landing spot for Trautman, pairing him with his former coach and injury-prone second-year TE Greg Dulcich.

Payton definitely has a thing for him. Buying insurance (which was cheap actually)? Just in case another ("injury-prone" Dulcic) TE goes down, or a way to fortify the running game? Two TE sets? No idea if he runs that much. They still Hakeem Olajuwon and one other dude, too.

Since no OL they wanted (my suspicion) didn't fall to them, they went with plan B after and are gonna go with these guys instead. They both can peel off whenever and surprise, but I wouldn't want any TE in Denver for fantasy purposes. Way too many question marks.

gonna need a thread rename @Football Jones
Adam Trautman caught all five targets for 34 yards in the Broncos’ Week 1 loss to the Raiders.

The Broncos started the game with elevated rates of 12-personnel in the absence of wide receiver Jerry Jeudy but were forced to alter course after Greg Dulcich departed the game in the second quarter with a leg injury. That could help explain the relative lack of downfield work but it is concerning that the offense looked so flat to start the season. Trautman should be considered the lead tight end in Denver after backing up his preseason usage in Week 1.

Looks like he might be a pickup if the TE pool in your league is looking soft. I know mine is.

Payton really seems to like him as he's been carrying him along every where he is.

He looked sluggish out there. Might get some volume near the LoS but he will do literally nothing after the catch. Team will miss Dulcich.
