ADP limited with back injury..Chester as a flex? (1 Viewer)

Chester could be a nice play but you have to remember that the niners run D is playing extremely well right now. Wouldn't be surprised to see AP held under 100 yards this week. IMO, this would not be the week to use Chester as a flex play.

No link, but it states on CBS Sportsline that he was limited in practice today w/ a back injury. No other details given

Limited in practice on Wednesday and limited at game time on Sunday are pretty far apart.

Don't know of any full-time RBs who aren't bruised or sore at some point in the season and take it easy early in the week; that's the nature of violent collisions.

I have started Chester the past 2 weeks ( due to Pierre Thomas being hurt, this week he is sitting on my bench. I hope I didn't pick the wrong week to sit him.

Tough matchup, but it a long season so the Vikes may want to save some wear and tear on ADP. My other choice is Beanie Wells.

Yes your post is bogus and garbage. AP will be fine I am sure they are just holding him out to give him some rest. This is a non story. There is already this info on the first page in the AP thread. Feel free to delete DA guru's thread mods.

I agree with comer. There is no reason to have 2 post on the same subject.

Taylor has 11 carries for 25 yards and 8 catches for 33 yards so far this season. Not good numbers considering they played the Lions last week. If MIN can't blow out the Lions I doubt they can blow out the Niners. If AP plays Taylor should be a no start IMO.

Hey Guru.. There hasn't been much talk locally that Peterson won't play or will be limited. My guess is they were resting him & that he will be fine on Sunday. It's the home opener & San Fran has been good against the run thus far.. I say if Peterson plays then I wouldn't play Chester.. Now if for some reason he does sit then I would obviously start Taylor. My hunch is he's fine though..

Against SF's D, however, I could Chester getting more touches simply because of AP being a bit sore and because as many have stated it's a long season. Whether or not I would start Chester--who I have by the way, but I don't have AP--is another question altogether. Though I could see Chester getting a TD this week all things being equally considered.

I ain't starting him however.

Associated Press

EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. -- Minnesota Vikings running back Adrian Peterson says his back injury is "not a big deal," meaning he should play Sunday against San Francisco.

Peterson was limited in practice on Wednesday because of the injury. He rushed for 92 yards and a touchdown last week against Detroit, and leads the NFL in rushing heading into the Vikings' home opener against the 49ers.

Starting middle linebacker E.J. Henderson missed practice Wednesday because of a shoulder injury. Defensive coordinator Leslie Frazier said Thursday he believes Henderson will be fine.

Henderson leads the team with 17 tackles this season after missing most of last year with a foot injury.
