ADP ranked as RB18 in DD (1 Viewer)

Adrian Peterson can't be the 18th ranked RB this week, can he? As a point of info, Vikings play Washington in Minnesota.

Well, they do have the 9th ranked rush defense. It could be behind his reasoning.

Kolby Smith is RB9 playing @ Detroit. Smith has been doing decently in place of LJ, but I don't think he could be 9 spots ahead of Peterson.

Please tell me that you are not going to bench him for one of the other players "ranked" a head of him.

Who care's how FBG ranks him. I really dont think they do much except take the player's season totals to date and average them by the number of games their team played. Then maybe FBG adjusts the averages here or there to come up with a projection. If that's the case, ADP's ranking will be a little lower since he missed a few games.

Or I could be totally wrong and they just feel like he will be the 18th best RB this week.

I don't think it is unreasonable. He had a stinker two weeks ago and then last week was saved by the TDs. The YPC were not great. I think either teams have a better game plan (stack the box, blitz corners) or he's not fully healthy (even though he looked great in his first game back from injury).

Fortunate to have McGahee, Graham, and ADP. Tough decision. After ADP has 3 points in the first half on MNF, I was wondering if I should have benched him last week. He's a hard one to bench. But I do have good options.

good luck to everyone facing similar dilemmas.

Every single time I've convinced myself to bench Peterson this year, I've been burned for it and it's cost me a win. I don't care if he's ranked 18th or 80th, I am not going to lose the championship because I left Adrian Peterson on the bench.

If he has a bad game and I lose because of him, then so be it. I won't lose any sleep over the decision.

 I dont care if he is ranked 800th. I'm going with the guy who got me here.

I don't care if he's ranked 32nd. There's no way in hell he's going to be sitting on my bench in the championship game.

This is pretty much where I am at with it. I traded Steve Smith for ADP right before the first Chicago game. Now I play the Steve Smith owner. If I bench ADP and lose, I'll regret it. If I start him and lose, so be it. Remember San Diego was the 6th or 7th ranked rush defense before the Minnesota game. In fact, if you take the 350 yards Minnesota hung on them down to say 150 and then recalculate San Diego's rushing defense (basically saying San Diego is this good against teams that don't have ADP) they come out as the 4th best rush defense in the league. Teams are only averaging 4.1 against them including that game. Now the injury could be an issue. But All Day looked to have his burst. I think teams are just selling out to stop him....and it isn't working as far as wins and losses go. Jackson is killing them with the intermediate passes and Minnesota's defense is stifling. He'll get his chances. To what level he produces is the question.

Peterson's matchup doesn't seem great this week with a strong Washington run D and an injured Rice that will shorten up the defense even further to key on Peterson and the unimaginative way he is used by Childress.

Having said that, I don't see how anyone could leave the potential of Peterson on their bench unless they are very deep and top heavy at RB.
