Adrian Peterson rushed 21 times for 29 yards in the Cardinals' Week 10 loss to the Seahawks.
Peterson added one reception for 13 yards. Running into brick walls from the opening whistle, things only got worse after the Cardinals lost LT D.J. Humphries early in the first quarter. At one point he took a safety (on an awful play call). Per Arizona radio man Vince Marotta, Peterson became just the 18th player in league history to have more than 20 carries but fewer than 30 rushing yards. It's a line reminiscent of Peterson's (brief) last days in Minnesota in 2016. As a Cardinal, Peterson has rocked two good matchups and gotten rocked in two bad ones. The Texans are on tap for Week 11.
I couldn't understand why they didn't try to work AP as a receiver from the opening snap. Force Seattle to stop run blitzing, Kam Chancellor was crashing the line every single time AP was in... wasn't really until the 3rd until they started doing that. Until they try to diversify AP's role he's going to be hard to start outside of cake matchups.I watched the whole game and not sure Jim Brown would have rushed for much more last night. With no respect at all for Stanton beating them Peterson was toast. Why Stanton did not check off on the safety was inexcusable. That play was doomed before the snap.
i think the problem is that they need peterson to have 30 carriers for them to even be in a ball game. That appears to be the game plan right now. That was an embarrassing stat line for any rb last night but they just kept doing it.I couldn't understand why they didn't try to work AP as a receiver from the opening snap. The TE screen was a really nice play to counter how the defense was focusing on Peterson.I couldn't understand why they didn't try to work AP as a receiver from the opening snap. JAX, Rams, Titans, @Wash, NYG left on his schedule. If the Giants in the week 16 is the only game you could start him, its probably time to cut bait.
Gabbo is his QB. He's borderline droppable at this point.Adrian Peterson rushed 14 times for 26 yards and caught his only target for 13 yards in the Cardinals' Week 11 loss to the Texans.
Pederson opened the game with 13 yards on his first two carries, but he had nowhere to go after that, routinely getting hit deep in the backfield. He was also stuffed on a pivotal fourth-and-one in the fourth quarter which all but ended the game. After going for 159 yards against the 49ers, Peterson has had nowhere to go the last two games, and things are not going to get any better next week against the Jaguars. He will be just a volume-based RB3/FLEX in that matchup.
In 14-16 teamers sure. Anything under that and drop him.Lol cut bait huh?
Thats bad advice, bench him sure. But no he still needs to be owned in almost all leagues.
You might be right, he might also do me better in someones starting lineup scoring 3 points instead of putting 3 points up on my bench. Arizona is going to be a complete disaster vs. the Jags next week. I will ruminate over this 50 year old running back.Lol cut bait huh?

Free agent Adrian Peterson (neck) says he is "fully healthy" and ready for the 2018 season.
Recently posting impressive workout videos on social media, Peterson says he has been cleared by three separate doctors following his season-ending 2017 neck issue. Now 33, Peterson has been limited to 10 games over the past two seasons, and has just 541 carries since 2013. He's averaged a modest 4.0 yards per carry during that timespan. The future Hall-of-Famer should get another look, but it might come closer to training camp than now.

He'll be trying to prove he's the best retired running back this year.
Florida Football Insiders reports the Bucs may have interest in free agent Adrian Peterson.
The Bucs were linked to Peterson last offseason before he signed with the Saints. Peterson has played most of his career in West Coast schemes and is a fit for Dirk Koetter's offense. Tampa has a talented but unproven tandem of second-rounder Ronald Jones and Peyton Barber atop their depth chart. Taking a flyer on Peterson would add an early-down veteran to the backfield mix.

Free agent Adrian Peterson told ESPN's NFL Live that the Texans are on his radar as a potential landing spot.
This doesn't mean the interest is mutual, of course. "Obviously I’ve mentioned Houston a couple of times," Peterson said. "I feel like Green Bay wouldn’t be a bad look as well. Carolina. There’s some options out there. You know Miami. Down there in [Los Angeles]. That would be a nice look, too, with Todd Gurley." Peterson turned 33 in March. He has made no known offseason visits.

I absolutely agree, unfortunately for him I don't think he is leaving on his own terms.Based on his on-field accomplishments, AP has every right to leave the field on his own terms,.just like people have every right to praise, ridicule or try to understand him. I say let him do his thing, whatever it is.
I was thinking about that yday. Colts might be a good fit too.
Free agent RB Adrian Peterson will visit the Redskins on Monday.
Orleans Darkwa and Jamaal Charles worked out for Washington on Sunday. The Redskins are desperate for healthy bodies at running back following injuries to Derrius Guice (ACL), Samaje Perine (ankle) and Byron Marshall (ankle). Peterson looked like he was on his last leg in 2017, averaging a pedestrian 3.39 yards per carry over 10 games for New Orleans and Arizona. Obviously Peterson is a big name and a likely Hall of Famer, though at this point in his career, it's doubtful the 33-year-old would be an upgrade on current starter Rob Kelley.

yet another guy way better than Booker. Even at 33Stuart Ullman said:Screw it, I'm in board. Just give me one more season, sweet prince.
Redskins signed RB Adrian Peterson, formerly of the Cardinals, to a one-year contract.
The Skins also worked out Jamaal Charles and Orleans Darkwa but Peterson impressed them the most. The 33-year-old is a shell of the player who once rushed for over 2,000 yards in a season, but obviously the Redskins feel he still has something left. Not that they had much of a choice—Washington's backfield is a mess right now with Derrius Guice (ACL), Samaje Perine (ankle) and Byron Marshall (ankle) all injured. Look for AD to mix in with Rob Kelley on early downs with Chris Thompson playing his usual role on passing downs.

He was above average in juke rate, evaded tackles and yards created. Not a stud and the 5th gear is gone but his stats outside of ypc look more than serviceable.Man, I thought AP looked decent last year....this clearly puts him in the draftable category IMHO.
paging Tatum Bell to the white courtesy phone. This is totally just a ploy.........
They have Reed and Davis at TE. Might as well ad Witten to Gates. Now if they could just sign Gates, and get Megatron to follow suit...
