Adrian Peterson (1 Viewer)

I HATE this AD thing. I've never heard of him referred to that before this board. I don't have the time to stop by all day like I did during the summer, so, somewhere along the way, I missed his new knightship of AD. Now, imagine me, coming to the Shark Pool and reading "AD's Dream Team" So, i sit here in my head trying to run off the names of the top prospects. Can't think of an AD. So, I click the thread, only thing is, his name isn't mentioned in there. So, I'm STILL lost as to who the hell this AD is. Al Davis? Well, finally ended up in anotehr thread where someone commented on it. I think it's just insane to clal him AD. IF you want to call him All day, ok, sure. But when the kid's initials are so close to the initials of his real name, why NOT use the p instead of the d? Is the P really that much farther away from the D on the keyboard? Seriously, I could have guessed Adrian Peterson from AP. Would have happened, yup, sure would have.
:nerd: I bet there's a lot of information about a lot of different players you don't know. Would it be insane for us to refer to that as well?BTW, no one on this board knighted him. And there's nothing new about his nickname. It happened before just about everyone on this board had ever heard his name.

Lemme get this straight:

Mr. Adrian Peterson is nicknamed AD for "all day" yet some people insist on calling him AD on the board? Are you guys that lazy that you only want to type AD because you can do it with ONE hand rather than two with AP?

Slothfullness knows no bounds...
If we must use a nickname for Peterson, I suggest everyone use "AP'. If we do it enough, the "AD,ers" will fade away.
No! ADP. It's perfect. It satisfies both parties.

AD happened before anyone on this board heard his name? or All Day happened?

AD happened before anyone on this board heard his name? or All Day happened?
Both.

How about AJ? D is the fourth letter in the alphabet and P is the sixteenth. Meeting in the middle, at the tenth letter could be a decent compromise.

Lets just start using abbreviations for each player's nickname. That way noone will be confused. D. Hall from KC is now THJ since his nickname is The Human Joystick. Please change all the players names in the league to reflect their abbreviated nicknames. Or we could just call them by their real names and avoid this nonsense. For instance we could call A. Peterson(AP) since that is his name. I don't recall the announcers calling him a different name when he got the ball. They always said Peterson so what the heck, let's call him AP for short. You know, keep it simple. :goodposting:

Hate? Should probably check your life priorities if this upsets you. It's his nickname. People use Caddy. BMW. ROY. SJAX? Why not just SJ? Why add AX?AD is perfect. It's his actual nickname. Versus something we made up on an internet forum. Pacman's nickname is Pacman, so we use Pacman. It's hilarious someone would get so upset because people aren't using initials. In the hierarchy of shorthand, initials are lower then nicknames. That's first year college stuff.People are actually refusing to use his nickname when discussing him, and berating people who do. Classic. I'm going to call him A-EatADickColin-D to honor this thread.

Just fix any thread you see when people refer to him as AD. Or ask who is AD in every post using that. hahahahah

I hate it too. dont know why, maybe because its too cocky. All of the nicknames like ROY, BMW, SJax, were assigned. All Day for someone who has done nothing is lame. Definately not earned YET.

AP is his official nickname until further notice :goodposting:

:D at "assigned" and the fact that it has to have anything to do with the NFL. Did you refuse to use Pacman because he didn't "earn" it as well? His nickname is AD, deal with it.
