As someone who just traded for him, I've been nervous the last couple of days. Luckily the trade won't go through until Tuesday, or I might have made a panicked move I would later regret, as I've come off the ledge a little.

I agree trading him for Charles or McCoy makes sense, and I would include Forte in that group, especially in PPR, as he's already producing better than McCoy. The TD pace may slow down while Cutler is out, but he is going to be a heavy part of that offense, and there will be plenty of opportunity for receptions, as they should be trailing a lot. Lynch and Bush would be strong considerations, and basically a gut call.

I've continued to shop him with no luck without selling far too low. Even the guppies seem to have cooled on him. What I hate about ADP that I will factor in more on future drafts is his handcuffs suck so hard. McCoy, charles and Forte all have much better situations for the handcuffs to thrive in but in Minnesota it's ADP or bust. I have a deal arranged where I Give up ADP for a better RB and then give up a better WR to get a WR2. I'm still not excited on that one either.

If you wanted to sell AP you certainly shouldn't be doing that NOW after 2 dud games. You'd be selling low. Trade players after sizzling performances and get more. I wouldn't even dream of trying to trade ap rt now for that reason.

This is simply a silly statement. You can send out offers that AREN'T sell low offers and try and sell on the name brand value of Adrian Peterson. Sell Low/Sell High works best with guys who aren't proven studs. Otherwise, you can usually get close to brand name value for them. For example, you could have gotten out of Doug Martin in Week 2-3 more than likely for someone like Marshawn Lynch, Reggie Bush or Matt Forte easily. Because of his brand name value. Peterson is the same case. In fact, you may want to try trading him for someone who would be a 'buy low' right now.

Calvin, Dez, Marshall, AJ Green and you should be able to make an easy 1 for 1 swap there. Maybe not quite as much on Calvin but definitely on Dez, Marshall and Green. And then it's not really 'selling low' you're selling someone who now looks like an every week RB2 with elite RB1 upside. For someone who is a WR1 every week. If I'm a Peterson owner right now with Bush and Moreno or Forte and Bush etc. and someone will trade me Peterson straight up for Dez or Marshall? I'm going to click that offer so quickly I might accept it twice.

This is exactly what I'm considering doing. Dez owner is decimated at RB, so think I may be able to get Dez and a usable piece for AP and someone from my bench. Not sure if I would do the trade straight up, as there's some keeper implications, but I'm giving it serious thought.

Most of the trade discussion in this thread revolves around lateral moves, not getting what you can to get out. Bloom seems 100% sold AP is a sell candidate, and the players he suggested, Charles, McCoy, Forte, Lynch, Bush, are all RBs who are performing at the same level or better than AP right now. Most seem to be in agreement that trading for someone like Lacy is unwise, unless he comes paired with a WR1 type value.

I feel like you could probably get something like Lacy + WR2? If I had ADP I'd probably do something along the lines of say... Lacy + Keenan Allen? Or Lacy + Colston? Lacy + Antonio Brown? Lacy + Justin Blackmon? All of those seem like solid deals I'd take for AP. That are probably realistic trades as a lot of owners would think "I'm getting AP for Lacy and my #2 WR? HAH What a guppy!'

his owners are very lucky frazier had the guts to call that run, or his game is a dud and it's basically over already. the game scripts are going to be horrible for Peterson. He might overcome a few with big games, but this is what you're looking at as a Peterson owner going forward. Praying that he gets a lot of use in a hurry up drive (which has accounted for the team's only offensive TD so far)

Agreed. And while Sproles has done even less than AP recently, at least he is tied to a better offense/QB.

Don't think either are enough. You are selling lower than you need to on AP. His brand name carries value, and it's not as if he's not producing, it's just worrisome. Not everyone's going to be able to get Lacy and Marshall for him, but I think you need to aim closer to that end of the spectrum than the 2 offers above. You're still taking on risk, and if I'm going to have risky guys on my team, I'd rather go with AP risk than Sproles or Browns risk.

Compounding troubles I've been having is Peterson's hamstring. I made an offer (rejected) of Peterson and Ryan Tannehill for Matt Forte to a guy with Stafford on bye, and while he had interest in Peterson, the hamstring issue scared him away.

I don't know how many people are actively looking to move Peterson, but I can't think that too many people are eagerly hoping to get him either. Certainly not those owners who have elite backs (Forte, Lynch, Charles, McCoy). Now that I'm thinking about it, I'm not sure I'm too eager about offering Peterson for the next step down from the elite backs: Gore, Foster, Lacy or Moreno, even though Moreno is in the best offense in the league.

I sold him in the middle of last year for Calvin Johnson in a ppr league. We both have been happy with the trade. But I believe wr have more productive years then Rb's. I think in the long term the trade will benefit me.
