That's about the only WR that I would trade ADP for...Ocho Cinco or Steve Smith. And even then, it depends on the size of your league: 12 teams or more and RB depth is very scarce. GL
Yep thats the only thing Id be worried about as Peterson is my RB3. Now Foster would be my RB3 :yuck:. But I DO own handcuffs to Portis and Addai.
Really? This year, with all the RBBCs, has more startable RBs than any year in recent memory -- they're everywhere!

Here you go:Just traded ADP and Braylon Edwards for Addai and Jerry Porter. Brees owner actually hated his WR's more and wanted Edwards instead of Big Ben. (Hated to give Edwards up, but had to to get Addai).Looking forward to a starting lineup of Romo/LJ/Addai/Steve Smith/Galloway and soon to be added WR's. With MJD/Kevin Jones and Big Ben on my bench I should be able to land a very good WR to fill out that roster.Peterson and Edwards COULD both be huge. But the Peterson situation is still iffy with CT coming back and the status of the MN offense. Could be top 5, but lots of risk. Edwards could be at the start of a big 3rd year WR breakout. But Addai was just too enticing. Very limited risk - you know he's gonna get his.
See...I see that as a fair deal; that's about the value of ADP right now as injuries mount.
That is one stupid person. You are lucky they didn't take it. You must be loaded at RB to be able to make that offer with the way RBs are dropping this year.
Why would you do it for either. You're set at WR.1 injury and you're mediocre at RB (w/o Peterson)
Actually he is as high as he's going to get for the year. You'll be kicking yourself for not getting rid of him while you can. Chester Taylor will be the feature back as AD has yet to understand blocking.Good luck with that
Here's why:I'm 1-2. I need to make a change. I do not like the Vikings offense. I live in Minnesota so I listen to all the radio talk shows about the Vikings offense and how bad they are. WHen I watch them on tv, they suck! They got no WR's to catch the ball, no QB's to throw the ball more than 8 yards down the field. All they got going for them is AP. Childress has said this over and over again: when Taylor is healthy, he will be the starter. Starter.....I'm not sure what this really means. I mean, is he gonna get MAJORITY of the carries and AP will get like 8-10 touches a game? I do not like that. I really thought the Vikings offense would be a lot better than it is this year and apparently they are not. How much longer can AP do so much until teams start sending 8 man front all day forcing the Vikings to beat them through the air. So I feel that if I trade AP for someone like Roy Williams - Torry Holt, I can then trade like Curtis and Marshall for a better RB or maybe even do a 3 for 2 for a rb and a throw in.I'm not sure. Agreed, I got a huge man-crush on Peterson and have been waiting for him for 3 seasons, gave up a kings ransom for the chance to select him. He's a true franchise player, a throughbred. Tomlinson's a superstar, seems to be a great person, a team leader as well, but I'm of the opinion that if both these players were in the same NFL entry draft Peterson would be selected before Tomlinson.
I don't agree with that at all. LT makes cuts and moves that I haven't seen from ADP.
Fair enough, I'm not going to question LTs talent, Tomlinson has a lenghty list of accomplishments at the pro level that makes any comparison between the two unfair to both players. I'm suggesting that if both players were coming out of the same draft Peterson would probably be selected before Tomlinson. If my memory is correct in the weeks leading up to the scouting combine an awful lot of pro scouts were debating LTs ability to run between the tackles (nitpicking?), and were unsure of his hands, in college he ran to the outside a lot. Durabilty continues to dog Peterson, his measurables were off the charts and there were no questions about his inside running.

Not an outrageous statement. Tomlinson was the 5th pick of the 2001 draft. Peterson was the 7th pick in 2007 draft. It's not hard to imagine Peterson going earlier if he had not had his injury. Still, we're talking a two pick difference here. I'm not sure about "probably" but I would definitely agree to "possibly" -- and not just in the anything is possible way, but in the very good chance way.They're both exceptional talents. However, where the comparison breaks down to me is the supporting cast and overall offensive firepower that LT has had surrounding him for the past few seasons. It's hard to imagine that being the case in Minnesota in a few years. In this case, it's possible only in the anything is possible way for me.paydrt said:

Why would he need ADP?I had Addai, Portis, and ADP in a start 2 league and I traded AWAY ADP for CJ.
He came to me with an original offer of Dunn and Dallas Clark for ADP and Calvin J. I already have Witten and Gates. He wants ADP.
Doesnt sound like it with that garbage offer he sent you.
