One of the ways I always like to talk about the "flukiness" or the "certainty" of a games outcome is to ask the question: Given the exact same set of circumstances that were present at kickoff, who wins if they could magically play the game 10 times? In other words, 10 games, each brand new each time with nothing learned from any of the other 10 games.

With that said, how do you see the AFC Championship game?

Before yesterday's game, I would say Pittsburgh wins 7. AFter the game, I say Pittsburgh wins 6. Two fairly evenly matched teams but I give a slight edge to Pittsburgh in both offense and defense.

Pittsburgh wins six. I'll give them the edge since they won yesterday and they've been on a big stage more often. However, I think teams are more closely matched then some accept and games can hinge on one or two big plays/calls.

LOL at Pittsburg wins 1... or 10. Nothing like the homer extremes.

I said 6 before the game and I'll stick with it. If it's on a neutral field it's more like 55%, and if it's in New York then I think it's 50/50.

I also wrote, and still believe, that New England beats the Jets 7 out of 10, and the Steelers 6 out of 10. New England was the best team in football this year.

They should put up a banner for this.

I said 8. In the other two games the Jets defense scores a couple of times early and Pittsburgh has problems dealing with a lot of blitz packages. Plain vanilla the Jets don't stack up to the Steelers.

:)

I went with 8. The home field advantage, the knack for stuffing the run, and their experience puts them over the edge almost every time.

and that's why they're playing golf right now instead of practicing for the Super Bowl :) they were NOT the best team in the NFL this season - the Steelers and Packers were..if not for a backup QB's mistake late in the GB/NE game, Packers beat NE.

any team that gets smoked by Cleveland giving up ,what,180+ rush yards, cannot possibly be called the best team in the NFL..

Jets beat them twice...in my book, you beat someone 2 out of three times, including once in their house in a PLAYOFF GAME, you're the better team - i.e., Jets trump NE..

and given Jets hatred of NE and the emotions that come with it, they'd probably win 7 out of 10 against NE..heck,they're nearly halfway there already, winning 3 of last 5!

NE was no better than the fluke Titans a few years back, who went 13-3, hosted baltimore in Div round, and lost. and they looked unstoppable that year too..they were not the best team in the NFL, obviously..

NE is soft, their defense is hidden by the 39 pt games that Brady engineers...

I'd give each team, Pitt/NYJ , a 50/50 split if they played ten times..whether it's at Pitt or NYJ, these teams are evenly matched..Jets dominated the second half the other night, basically showing that the Steelers have problems defensing the passing game and that they're weak against the draw plays..

Pitt showed that the Jets have problems with power running games and lack a quality pass rush..
