New York Giants RB Ahmad Bradshaw (neck) left the game early Week 2 and went to the locker room to undergo X-rays on his neck.

-------------------

There is next to no info on his injury. Anybody have anything? I don't recall another player needing X-rays on their neck, recently, at the very least.

All reports i have seen, are saying that he is going to get an MRI today, and the Giants are hoping it is just a stinger.

I dont think Bradshaw will be available in a short week this Thursday, unless the MRI was completely cautionary.

The early word on RB Ahmad Bradshaw's neck injury was a "sprain" but Tom Coughlin had no update today. Bradshaw was supposed to have an MRI.

No sign of David Diehl (knee), Ahmad Bradshaw (neck) & Domenik Hixon (concussion) at #NYG practice. Hakeem Nicks on stationary bike

Coughlin says day to day with Diehl, Hixon, Bradshaw. Says holding out hope "against all odds" that they'll be ready. #nyg
Who cares what Coughlin said? One watched the youtube video - he said it looked pretty bad. I don't know man...I don't know.

It looked bad. But Bradshaw was on the sideline the rest of the game and was shown to by the TV cameras several times to be raising both arms above his head waiving a towel around to rally the crowd.

Coughlin presser after today's practice:

Q: Do you feel a little more comfortable that the running game might start to get going?

A: I thought Andre did a nice job. He certainly was the focal point once Ahmad came out of the game. David has his plays and will certainly get some more time as well.

Q: What’s the nature of Ahmad’s injury?

A: Neck.

Q: Is it just a sprain?

A: Neck.

Q: You’re holding out hope that Bradshaw will be ready?

A: We are.

No mention from beat writers from who is getting first team reps. If it's like most weeks then Brown and Wilson for sure are. Scott might, but just coming off of injury I don't see him getting more than a handful of plays at all. The Giants are so pass heavy and the running game so anemic recently that there aren't enough run plays for the 3rd RB to get much work at all.

Bradshaw didn't practice but who knows if he can play. Nicks didn't practice but Coughlin said it was expected and that he should be "good to go Thursday." Maybe that he didn't make a similar comment about Bradshaw is an indication that Ahmad will sit.

Well man...if he was able to waive a towel...he must be ready for carrying the ball in an NFL game. Totally the same. :)

Ruled OUT on CBS. I'll see if I can find another link

In the meantime, Andre Brown is expected to start and handle a full workload on Thursday night. He's a three-down back that will get what's blocked and serve as the goal-line option. Rookie David Wilson will try to work his way out of the doghouse by putting in a good performance as the change-of-pace option. Consider Brown a solid flex start this week and Wilson the superior long-term option.Source: Mike Garafolo on Twitter Sep 19 - 12:38 PM

Well that makes things interesting. As a Bradshaw owner that grabbed Brown on waivers, I prefer this. If Bradshaw played there was no way I'd start any of them. Brown is a possibility for my injury struck team though.

I think anyone who starts either one is playing with fire. However if I had to I am taking the upside and that to me is Wilson,

The beat reporters are their with their pens and pads ready for an answer to their questions and he fires off with these responses. Completely bush league move by Coughlin.
