I would guess it's the effort to run the program and connect to GPS and a very hot CPU restarting the phone in a desperate attempt to not overheat.Maybe one of the tech guys can help me
Three times in the last week, my phone has restarted itself as I used a map app. First it was google maps. Thought maybe it was the app. Downloaded waze and happened again this morning.
Is it a app issue or a phone issue. Still have a few months left on my year so if its phone, ill go see what I can do
I can't see this working. I'd rather trust GW or Apple pay over CurrentCA lot of retailers don't plan on accepting Apple Pay or Google Wallet
They are building their own mobile payment app in a joint venture to get around CCP fees.
This could get interesting.
Apple Pay is all clear for Footlocker purchases though.
Yeah, as HellToupee mentioned, it'll come down security.I could see CurrentC being successful if the retailers discounts/promotions are attractive enough.
Don't retailers pay like 2-3% to the CC companies? If Walmart just gave everyone who used CurrentC that percent off of their purchases it would be a no brainer.
I'm not 100% sure but my guess is,YesHow well does the "ok google" thing work? For example, would it work in these scenarios...
(Wakes up in hotel room) "Ok google, what time is it?"
Ok google, wake me up tomorrow at 7am
Ok google, play the next episode of the bill simmons podcast.
Ok google how many emails are in my work inbox?
Ok google how many new texts has my wife sent?
Ok google, who won the Tennessee game last night?
Ok google, when did I last email fred at ironworks?
Ok google, how many appointments do I have tomorrow afternoon?
Just trying to get a feeling on how useful it is compared to Siri, which is largely useless.
If the appointments are marked in your google calender as appointments, yes, it will tell you thatI'm not 100% sure but my guess is,YesHow well does the "ok google" thing work? For example, would it work in these scenarios...

was that a beetle juice phone ot a men in black #### roach phone?I would guess it's the effort to run the program and connect to GPS and a very hot CPU restarting the phone in a desperate attempt to not overheat. Some of the advertised latest and greatest mobile CPUs get too hot too quick.Maybe one of the tech guys can help me

That odd speaker cleaner vibration app...I've seen dust bunnies and even a roach come out of an overheating phone. Definitely worth a try, free and there's so many speaker cleaner apps. All in all if your phone is clean they do nothing but amuse, still worth a shot though
It's the voice command used to activate Google Now voice search on your Android smartphone.what's okay Google
it is the google app. Open the app, then say ok google and ask it something. If you have the google app, you have ok googleLol...oh I never use it. I tried once like 6 years ago.
not sure I know how to get Google now working on this phone.
thanks
Paypal signed with a bunch of companies for their fingerprint system. A short while back they signed the big dog "Walmart" to an agreement.A lot of retailers don't plan on accepting Apple Pay or Google Wallet

tried it out, found only the texting part to be useful for my needs. So, switched to mightytext instead.Does anyone use PushBullet? If so, what do you use it for, and how often do you use it?
nexus 5?belljr said:I'm finding people use there phones way more than I do. I mean i use it all the time but only for video, internet and podcasts![]()
I do have a recent new problem. Every once in a while my phone says my sim card is not mounted it needs to restart.
Edit it's my sim card not mem card. Wonder if my new case is an issue
I get the same issue on my S3 every week or so every since I rooted it, even with different roms. Tried a lot to fix it but ended up just learning to live with it.nexus 5?belljr said:I'm finding people use there phones way more than I do. this is a known issue and apparently there are fixes out there... ive had this maybe 2-3 times, but didnt actually need to reboot.
Battery life has become much more important to me. I had a Nexus and while it it had juice, I loved it. The problem is that to get full use out of your Android phone (google now, ok google etc) the battery gets crushed. I got the Droid Maxx last year and LOVE it. It lasts the entire day +.Verizon announced the Droid Turbo today:
http://www.verizonwireless.com/droid-does/
It doesn't have the removable battery that so many of you must have, but it has a battery that supposedly lasts 2 days, turbo charge which will get you an 8 hour use in 15 minutes, and a 2.7 GHz Quad Core processor.
I love my Motorola Maxx, but this is a phone I may have to look into.
This think looks like the Maxx on roids possibly. I love my Maxx as well, but this is one phone I might consider giving it up for. Will probably wait a while though because the Maxx is still kicking strong.Battery life has become much more important to me. I had a Nexus and while it it had juice, I loved it. I would absolutely make the switch if it was time for an upgrade. I have zero complaints with my Maxx as of yet, so no reason to upgrade other than wanting the new shiny. This think looks like the Maxx on roids possibly. Hmm, hundred bucks cheaper than the Note 4. (I've been indecisive as #### about which new phone to get).Verizon announced the Droid Turbo today:

A couple of stores are trying their own NFC payment system as an end around vs the credit card companies. I'm sure it will flop.WTF with CVS blocking Google Wallet now?![]()

Think you can change that. My left button is settings. Long hold is search. Hone button is windowsunless I'm not understandingI don't like how they made the left button into a windows button instead of a settings button like my old s3. Holding it down for settings is dumb. The home button worked fine to hold down for windows before.
I remember when ISIS (boy was that poorly named, now called Softcard) launched in my area, Barbacoa (burrito place like Chipotle) offered $1 burritos when paying with softcard for 3 months. All these payment options & lack of options should end up benefiting the consumer. When they are all wanting you to use their payment option they are going to have to give incentives. Coupons, discounts, etc.

I am giving it a run.... still using Gmail though too. I have a feeling that I am going to stick with Gmail, but I sure do love snoozing emails in Inbox.Anyone using Inbox? I got my invite a couple days ago and I can't decide if I prefer this to the regular Gmail app or not.
