FBG mobile on your homepage?
Ya man.... one of my fave apps. On here all the time during football season... Come Feb, it'll be put on page 2 for a while
i also like FBG mobile, for whatever reason the forums work a lot better for me inside of their app vs. a browser.

So really i just use it for the forums.
I just downloaded the fbg app and am posting this thru it.

The scrolling is really jerky.

maybe it's boat browser then... although i really like that browser.... but trying to post a message on there is terrible... thus i prefer FBG's own app

also i recently got flipboard but i'm not finding it very useful, what are you following to make it useful?
An app our employer requires us to use to run Outlook through.
what is the app on the very far bottom left corner next to messages?

also 8 ball pool?
Cozi. It's a family shared calendar/lists thing.

Yes i like to play pool on my phone.

I used to love Dolphin mostly for the left and right swiping for bookmarks and settings but it got flaky and slow so went to chrome. I wish Chrome would do the left and right swiping.

sweet, thx :nerd:

also mine...interestingly i like my real world to be clutter free but my home page to crammed full of all my most used apps. the nav bar is set to hide so not sure why the SS shows it down

Went minimal this weekend:

You can't see LMT/PIE in the screenshot, but along with said control as well as gestures, there no need for a status bar since LMT has that in PIE. I forgot how to remap the hardware keys, or else the navbar would be not used as well.

ETA: also using Gravitybox's statusbar brightness control. You just slide your finger across the statusbar, and it adjusts the brightness right from it. It's the ginchiest. Did away with the control in the notification drawer to leave space for, well, notifications.

CM also has the sliding brightness control. It's one of my favorite features.

Just got my OTA. Nexus 5.

Exchange calendar and contacts. GONE. Gmail app found my work email account but no sign of my calendar or contacts.

Fugly app drawer background (pure white, no longer transparent).

AT&T VM Viewer crashes at startup (not Google's fault).

Can't immediately type in my unlock code when waking the phone.

No idea how to view available wireless networks.

Initial impressions are pretty bad. Hoping that I get used to things.
A quick follow-up.

My calendar and contacts eventually re-downloaded, so no harm there in the end.

What is most interesting, however, is that conversation view is turned-off for my Exchange emails in the Gmail app. Not sure if that's because it's Exchange-based, or if it's because it was off in the stock email app pre-L and GMail imported the setting. If the latter, then it's clear that conversation view can be turned off in the GMail app, but Google just hides the setting. Is there any way to make a "registry edit" (using Windows parlance) to get at these kinds of settings in Android?

Still hate the white background of the app drawer.

Still hate not being able to access my unlock code right at phone wake.

I tried "Nine" (3rd-party email client) for my work emails, and it was nice. But it made me enter a PIN to access my inbox even though I already had my phone locked-down with a PIN. No way I'm going to use an app that makes me do that, so I uninstalled. I'm sure it has to do with the security protocols of my work email, but I can get into Gmail without a PIN, provided that I have unlocked my phone. Not sure why Nine is different.

Not noticing any speed or battery life improvements. But it's hard to be objective about that anyway.

Drop cam is a remote camera you can buy for 100 bucks. Set it up anywhere and you can view it through your phone.

yikes, thanks.

dropcam is about the most awesome security/nanny cam ever. HD, night vision, super wide field, records 7 (or up to 30) days of video, lets you create and download unlimited clips. if you have people around your kids while in your home, or people in your office when you're not there, it's an absolute essential. Cannot tell you the number of dishonest people we've caught using this thing. Astonishing just how deceitful and potentially dangerous some people are

Rocking a simple look the last few days.

That is my favorite one I have seen posted on the last few pages. P.S. ditch the dual clocks on the home screen, you only need one ;)
I tweaked it a bit, the unlabeled b&w icons were a bit tough to get used to, and I switched the clock/weather widget to a more customizable one. I really like the elegant/simple look of my home screen (2nd screen is for extra stuff) and all the apps I use most are showing or in the middle folder.I like the dual clocks, I don't have to strain to see the big one when the phone is more than 2 feet from my face. Lol.

I'm now running blue mail for email (exchange and yahoo). I also have nine loaded so that I can have calendar and contacts from exchange too. The one drawback is that calendar invites don't work through blue mail. Really hope they bring back the old mail client. It wasn't spectacular but still better than blue mail or nine.

Some things run better now. I'm now used to the new swipe unlock and like it better than old one.

Textra and swiftkey aren't working so hot together, but I'll keep checking for updates.

I wish I could load CM or Paranoid on this, but my locked bootloader won't let me or it's hard brick city. :wall:

Attempting caseless with the note 4....4 days in and already the glass has a scratch. No clue how that happened. Guess i'm going back to a case.

I've had my S3 for 2 years and have had a Body Glove tough suit case on it since day one..the phone is still like brand new when I take it out of the case. The main reason I keep my phone in a good case is for resale value.

Get a tempered glass screen protector, and the JOTO bumper cover. This is the closest your gonna get to no case, but with some protection.

I did the same thing with my S4 that i just sold and it didn't effect the resale value at all. Phone was in mint condition but I didn't get the premium I thought I would on ebay.

But you get more than you would for a phone that shows wear, and that's all I want to do - get the most I can out of it.Eta: how much did you get for it?

What kind of guarantee is that?

Went caseless after the first year with the S3. Shows wear...whatever to me.

I end up letting my kids use them as "ipods". Did that with my old EVO (though, battery sucked so bad at the end of that it wasn't much of a thing to him.

Doing it with my S3 now that I got the S5...and my wife is doing it with her old iPhone4s too.

Clean off all the crap...load the games he wants, the music...and lock down the web browsing as much as possible.

Works well and keeps the kids pretty happy.

Nothing wrong with that. I've had phones I had no case on, no problem. With my current phone I knew I'd be selling it so I wanted to keep it like new.I kept my old beat up blackberry as an Mp3 player for over a year back when I switched to Android. Worked like a charm.

That's one great thing about phones these days. You can repurpose them and use them for years.

I've never had a case the note 3 is my first phone I ever had a case for it that's because I paid more than $49 for whatever phone

we would always get the deals were buying phones like to Razr Maxx is to Motorola Droid X cetera

They guaranteed me $264 for my S4 and someone just bought it buy-it-now for $260...but I was including a new in box hard case.I'm pleasantly surprised.

Just got the update today. Hate the new way chrome tabs get treated as apps, can't close an open tab from the same screen, have to hit that square that pulls up the Rolodex of all open apps and chrome tabs and close from there. Hopefully I am missing something here, an easier way?

Open chrome, go to settings, turn off Merge Tabs and Apps. This makes it the way it was before.

So my eBay buyer (who has a feedback rating of one) sent me a msg saying he had to back out because he was selling his phone and the buyer backed out.

Should I let him out or ship the phone? My auction states No Returns. I have already requested a transfer from PayPal to my bank account.

What's my move?

All he has to say is item not described and he will get a full refund and you will pay the shipping back. Just do a refund. No returns means nothing on ebay.

After nearly a week of usage, I can safely say I really enjoy Lollipop.

Fixed some of the issues I had w KitKat, more stable, Device Manager works now, The "1 second popup" of cached programs is gone, battery life is better.

Not perfect yet, and I think an update will be pushed sooner than later to iron out some glitches, but overall Im pretty pleased with this release.

They just REALLY need to fix that damn double swipe to unlock crap. And preferably bring back the "silent" option on volume, instead of having to do the priority thing

Did some reading last night and it sounds like like the Galaxy S3 might not get lollipop. My wife has an S5, so once Sprint pushes it down I will see how much better it is. Might have to upgrade.

Smart Keyboard from the play store is the best keyboard I've found yet. Worth the $2.75 IMO (there's a free trial app to test drive it)

You can turn the top number row on/off, adjust key height, it has several skins, lots of customizable options.

I've been test driving lots of them lately and this is by far my favorite.
