Hey - I don't mind some constructive critism of my choices, but to list out how he felt I should have played it in that detail is too much......He puts WAY too much value on his own opinions as fact.Hearst = vet backup at bestMcGahee = unproven on the NFL level and coming off MAJOR injury - has to win jobO.Smith = guy in the biggest RBBC on the planetI'm not going to listen to this crap that I'm better with these clowns over a guy who ran for 11 TDs as a 10 game starter in 2003 without firing back that I think slevin is sniffing too much glue when evaluating players.
Dude - if you re-read, I would have had Boldin, Boston and Bruce and MAYBE would taken one of those other guys as my RB3 over Duckett instead of Boston.Sorry for the detailed responses, but you don't have to worry about it anymore - I am not going to comment on your team anymore. Done.

Crap, got called away RL. Blue if you're still around, I dont think your predraft picks took for this round. You have to plug them in then confirm them, its kinda a pain.

PS - You may continue to critique away......... I didn't know I couldn't counter what you wrote.
Nope - I will not.Counter all you want. If you call your response a "counter" then, fine, but I won't comment on your team anymore becaus it obviously upsets you.Just an FYI - I highlighted McGahee b/c it is obvious you don't believe in Henry, so McG would seem to be the clear choice. I still think you had blinders on re: grabbing RB-RB-RB when you took Duckett - your talk about Duckett did not address the fact that Dunn and Vick were both hurt and not playing when he was on that TD tear.

See your incorrect...... I had planned to go RB/RB and then goto WRs. I took TJ when he fell in the 3rd to 3.10.To get 3 solid starters at RB in a 14 team league is awesome. I'm kicking butt.

I will make a sig bet with you right now that TJDuckett does not have more than 240 carries on the year.Double the sig for Staley, too - Staley won't crest 250 carries.

Some pretty intense thoughts on a few of these teams, I might as well put mine up for evaluation and see where people's opinions fall:

--QB--

Tom Brady NEP

Not an exciting pick, but I'll take a guy who is knocking on the door of 4000 / 25 every year in the 7th round. Taken just before the sexier pick of Leftwich, but I'll take consistancy coupled with upside over just the promise of upside any day.

--RB--

Priest Holmes KCC

Having him on your team means that you can be assured of a playoff run, assuming you don't completely guff up the rest of your roster.

Charlie Garner TBB

Perennially undervalued, I think reuniting him with Gruden and plugging him into a (soon to be) run friendly offense will bring him back to his former self.

Chris Brown TEN

He showed speed, he has the size, and only an aging George stands in his way of being a good performer. I'll take his upside at RB3.

--WR--

Terrell Owens PHI

A beast. He put up 1100/9 during a year when everything seemed to go wrong. Now he is on the team he wants to be on, with a hungry talented QB dying to get him the ball. He will buck the bad odds that WRs usually face when changing teams.

Amani Toomer NYG

Rack him for at least 1000/5.

Keenan McCardell TBB

Rack him for at least 1000/5.

I haven't written up an evaluation of a team I drafted for a few years, it was fun to do. It isn't a typical team that I draft, but it seems like many of the other guys in this draft have tended to go for the younger more upside-driven guys that I usually snatch up. So I've pretty much just been grabbing a bunch of steady eddies, and hoping that paired with Holmes, that they will be more than enough.

Why don't we just agree to disagree on this.....I'm sorry if I was harsh in my counter critique - too much time on the flame boards as a youth...............

Lol, i've got the same problem. Can I just say im really happy how this thing went overall? Getting some very good insights from different povs. Finally feel out of the off-season dulldrums a little bit.

Not. A. Chance. I'm trying to build a good team here, but I'm no fool. If Jackson's situation ends up less-then-prime or T. Jones remembers his T. Jones, I'm dead in the water and we're not even halfway done.I made my picks aprroximating a "best case scenario" for these guys, and as such this team will either be fantastic in September or downright horrid. I'm not putting money on something like that.... HERD
So that proves my point from earlier in the draft... You wouldn't have made that pick had this been a real league.

Hey, Team Name II/DocBakk, etc, wants to make a pick. Can Red or FM69 facilitate that?He wants Anthony Thomas for the current pick.TIA

If you're here Red, Team Name II has left a mesage that he doesn't have his password but wants to take Anthony Thomas with this pick.

So that proves my point from earlier in the draft... You wouldn't have made that pick had this been a real league.
I agree with this.I kind of like the idea of making this a league. I'm willing to toss in a sawbuck on my team for the year. After all, Edge will be a top three RB this year, Holt will repeat last season and Favre will cap off his career with his best season ever :D What do you say, Herd? You not willing to put it on the line that '04 Jackson = '99 James?I say we go with WCOFF scoring, no divisions, 13 weeks head to head, top six records make the play-offs, winner take all.

If no one has posted yet:

Team Name II wants.... daddyfatsacks Apr 8, 5:28 pm A-Train at the 7.9 pick. I forgot my password and I don't want to hold things up. If the commish or someone can somehow make the pick for me (reply)

I wasnt being literal, i was illustrating a point. That being what do you do if all three WRs are in spitting distance of each other after a few weaks in fantasy points? You're stuck with a significant draft pick sitting on the bench and worse he's approxiamately as likely to be the top scoring WR. Meanwhile you could have upgraded elsewhere with that pick.
aww, cmon someone take some action, Im trying to give my money away ;)

slevin: Can i request you berate his team? I think it sucks and mine is better because like, my opinions are right ... and stuff

TJ is not a solid starter. Got a link draft boy?

I think you have the best of the bunch. I have been saying all year, 1.1 or as close as you can get is the best draft position.

Funny thing is, looking at the draft board I think I would have picked the exact team as you though I may have taken a WR over CBrown.

League ??

So the thoughts would be:We pick the people we want in

12 team

Do the FBG MyFanLeague thing

Just enough fee to cover the league and a small trophy (and sig line) for the winner

league rules decided upon by Shark Pool Polls

FBG buy in so we can use the name

input?

 No, but I expect him to be the feature back this year. I can't see Warrick taking much away from the youngster this year - he's older and coming off injury. It's TJ's job to take - and he's still the Goal Line option either way

here's my team, i drafted 1.1 overall, I don't remember too many drafts were I went 1.1, so this time its available, I thought i'd take it and see what i can work around Tomlinson, who i think its the best player. Steve McNair (5.1)LaDanian Tomlinson (1.1)Lee Suggs (2.14)Chad Johnson (3.1)Plaxico Burress (4.12)Jerry Porter (7.1)Kellen Winslow Jr. (6.12)positive, negative comments both welcomed

I like xpert better than MFL. Plus we DO have Red in this league right now. I'm not sure if he participates in leagues on his own site though...I also wouldn't give a poo about a trophy. Sig line or pride is plenty for me. I play EVERY game to win anyway. I don't need a trophy to show off.

I don't know what the deal is with Team II, but as soon as FM or Red see the message, he will hae A-Train. Maybe Shadow could pre-draft and we would end up knocking out 4 picks from that?Just a thought...Oh, and poor Onion's pre-draft didn't take.

Weird.I can only get myself motivated to play hard if there is something at stake. Not always money, but with you clowns I want something out of it. It doesnt need to be money, but I have the vision ... this dream, of a "Shark Pool FF League Champion" trophy. I can bring it to work, show all my friends. Im bound to get bunches of strange

I was in a league with Red at xpertleagues last year. And I agree, trophies be damned.

Fortunately, this is the opinion that will allow Dunn to be underrated YET AGAIN, and fall to a spot in most drafts where he will represent tremendous value.

Guys, please predraft if you aren't going to be around. I know I selected a 6 hour draft, but it would be nice to finish by the end of the weekend. Thanks..

I just realized that I can change the time per pick in my commissioner panel. Should we find a time where we can all be here and finish the draft with 2 mins/pick? Change it to a few hours/pick? Or just leave it the way it is?

There's no way in hell you're going to get all 14 to agree on a time time to finish the draft at two minutes per pick. But we could probably tighten it up a little bit. Some have been talking about making this into a league, and if we do I say keep it at 6 hours.

I'd love to make it a league .... Who's in?
You know I can never say no to a challenge, bro. I do like my team alot, but we are very far away from the start of the season. Would we keep these teams or redraft in the summer? Would we play for bragging rights or for money?Edit: I'd like to redraft in the summer and make it a small money league ($25/person) and have the winner be the Shark Pool Champion. Maybe kick out the worst 7 teams(according to recrd) and bring in 7 new owners from the shark pool?

Ill play with y'all anytime.Dante, you have my first or second favorite draft thus far. I dont dig on the Winslow pick in a redraft format but its a small detail.

also, I think we might be done for the night, BlueOnion said he was gon for the night or something like that earlier in a post, and he said he'll predraft, but either his players got picked or he forgot to actually predraft

i think most of you guys have read scouting reports and such about Kellen Winslow Jr. and almost all says he's the best prospect to come out in a long time, so with my pick, at this point, i'm assuming he goes to a team and immediately becomes a huge part of an offense and get utilized heavily. I don't think any TE left on the board will match his production, and plus, most TEs, for the exception of the top few, are inconsistent with their production each year.

MBennett at 2.12? You guys DO realize he did NOT tear an ACL - he just had a broken foot, right? And you DO realize he had a monster year prior to the injury, right? And you also realize OSmith wasn't some 1st round pick that the Vikings brass have to push onto the field to save face, but just a 4th round RB that didn't win the job in MBennett's abscence, right?I was high on OSmith last year because I saw he had an opportunity. And you know what? He blew it! Right now, he is a totally unproven 4th round RB with a history of being a bit of a problem (changing colleges). MBennett proved he could be a top back for at least one year. Why is MBennett even being questioned as the clear starter here? His foot should be healed, and he should be ready to go. OSmith can be forgotten on the bench because the Vikings invested little in him.Talk about steals. You guys are grabbing torn ACLs high in round one, but the broken foot plummets almost to round 3.

I'd project that Moss and Culpepper drop in production and MBennett has one of his career years, but that's just me. MBennett is 26. He's in his prime and healthy.

I'm about 3 weeks from unveiling trophy leagues on my site, so if you did want to go through Xpert Leagues I would already have a way to get the winner a trophy. And for the trophy doubters in the group, I have to say I used to agree with you. I always said if I won one of those trophies with the gold plastic running back on the top, I would hide it in my closet. But what I am going to be offering is going to be totally different. If anyone wants more details they can PM me..Two other things.1. I'm confused about the Kitna pick as well.2. Should I trade out A Pinner at 7.9 for A Train? It seemed that that's who duceduce wanted from the message board, but pick 7.9 wasn't a computer selection so I'm assuming that either the commish made the pick or duceduce did.

I would like more details about the trophy.I wasn't around at the time so I did not make his 7.9 pick.

If you didn't do it and footballman didn't do it, then Pinner is his guy.

yes

It's not Bennett's job outright. Last year:Bennett - 5.0 YPC on 90 carriesO. Smith - 5.4 YPC on 107 carriesMoe Williams is NOT just going to go away

Looks a little confusing, but I think I will have to pass on the offer. Typically with owners I will be all nice and say astuff like "I dont think this improves my team", "I like EG a lot, but I dont think I can trade AQ for him", blah blah blah blah, but with you sharks, this trade offer can bite me :P
