Amazon Prime Day 2018 (1 Viewer)

Not even sure what that means. Basically I just want to watch football.
Should work just fine for you, especially for that price.  Sometimes you can see a difference with fast motion because of the refresh rate but it's not that big of a deal.

It's fine for what it is.  Maybe not "mancave certified", but perfectly fine for an office or bedroom TV.  If years ago you told me that a 43" 1080P smart TV, with built in wifi, would be under $200 I wouldn't have believed you.

I'm looking for something that won't break in a month and has a great picture. Willing to pay more. Don't want to get stuck with something lousy because it's on sale. Reviews on all these sets scare me off.

smile URL unresponsive for me past the home page (spotlight deals, electronics, etc. links)

OK - "electronics" worked. The "spotlight" link just went blank page.

If you still having problems with the website Prime home page just get into regular amazon and click the search bar to prime day, then search.

Try to stick with a name brand TV then.  Something like Samsung, LG and Sony.

I have a few year old 55" Sony in my basement that cost me $2k when purchased.  Any of the TVs you mentioned, aside from size, are better than it.

Just a few things to consider if buying a new TV today, in terms of technology if it's to be a "primary TV".  Get one that is 4k capable, as well as HDR and if watching sports or other fast action, get one with at least 120 Hz.  Getting one that's "smart", to me, is optional as you can get a separate fire TV or roku or whatever to connect to it (and replace when something new on the "smart stuff" comes along).

What about this sucker?

So is that it?  Or will they continue to roll out deals for the next day?
They have new deals that open up throughout the day and give you the time they open. You can preview what the products are ahead of time if you are willing to wade through the giant list of stuff, but won't know what the price is until they go live.
