If you want to see a cheap match come to Atlanta for game 72 - Uzbekistan vs Jamaica/Congo/New Caledonia. No way that stadium is getting filled. I'll take the chance and wait until near game day to pick something up. I can't imagine they'll be terribly expensive.

Honestly wish that was up here I would so being going to that one

Ugh, I want to get a shot at two different games in two different locations but picking one blocks the other.

Ideally, I'd like to go up to Vancouver and see Canada vs Qatar on 6/18 and then drive across the border and see USA vs Australia the next day on 6/19. Of course, there's no guarantee I'd get both.

My next favorite game would be the closest, Philly for Brazil vs Haiti. But that is also on 6/19 so I can't put in for both those USA and Brazil games.

Most likely screw me outcome is I decide to try for the games out west and only get Canada and not USA and then don't want to make the trip.

Any ways to get around the block or give me more options? Initial thought is to join raffle as a family member at a different address?

Sounds fun and have family down there. 🤔

My daughter asked me what I paid for the original games back in 1994 when I told her one of the US games is now going for $1200. I could not remember the exact amount, but I thought it was around $50. Do either of you guys have ticket prices on those stubs?
Found my tickets:
USA v Col, CMR v SWE, USA v Rom all $22.50 ea
Col v Rom $27.50

And the final ticket was a round of 16 matchup on Sunday July 3rd. I completely forgot who played in it and Google reminded me it was Romania v Argentina.
Goals from Dumitrescu (2) and Hagi, eliminating a star-studded Argentine team playing without the banned Maradona. Argentina's Gabriel Batistuta (penalty) and Abel Balbo scored.
Ticket's face value? $32.50
Game Highlights

A buddy of mine sent a picture of his tix from 94. probably single ticket pricing...
USA v Rom was $65
USA v Col was $50

You are limited to one account in the drawing per physical address so your best plan is to have another friend/family member that lives elsewhere to put in for the conflict games.

FIFA will probably leave the stadium 25% full instead of dropping face value prices.

Also doesn't work out well with the ticket lottery but as far as trying to catch a couple games in a couple close cities, I'm looking at:

Vancouver to Seattle (2:45 drive)
- Canada vs Qatar 6/18 and USA vs Australia 6/19 (Thurs / Fri)
- Two Round of 32 games on 7/1 and 7/2 (Weds / Thurs)
- Two Round of 16 games on 7/6 and 7/7 (Mon / Tues)

Houston to Dallas (3:30 drive)
- ARG vs AUT 6/22, POR vs UZB 6/23 (Mon / Tues)
- Japan vs ? 6/25, CPV vs KSA 6/26, JOR vs ARG 6/27 (Thurs / Fri / Sat)
- Two Round of 32 games on 6/29 and 6/30 (Mon / Tues)
- Round of 32 and Round of 16 games on 7/3 and 7/4 (Fri / Sat)

Of course, NY and Philly are close but I'm driving distance from both so don't need a trip for that.
I'll probably keep an eye out for deals to take a drive over to any of the Philly games.

Ok I'm going to put into the lottery for some tickets. (Already bought Cabo Verde-Saudi Arabia off Stubhub)

Thinking I'll do both of the round of 32 and 16 games ($220 for cheapest). After that... Portugal vs Uzbekistan is $265 and so is Portugal against winner of Congo/Jamaic/New Caledonia. Which, can't say either of those opponents thrill me. $265 for either game. Or I could go for Netherlands vs winner of Ukraine/Sweden/Poland/Albania which would probably be a better match. Also it's $220 instead of $265. And on a Saturday instead of on a work day. Leaning towards the latter.

Germany-Curacao is $180.

Hrm.

Alright, submitted for:

Netherlands vs Ukraine/Sweden/Poland/Albania.
Round or 32: Winner of Brazil/Morocco group vs runner up from Netherlands, Japan, Ukraine/Sweden/Poland/Albania, and Tunisia. (Gonna guess Brazil-Sweden or Japan?)
Round of 16: Winner of runner ups from Mexico group and Canada group, so probably Canada or Italy vs Saudi/Korea/Denmark. Vs winner of Netherlands group vs runner up of Brazil/Morocco group. (Going to guess Canada vs either Netherlands or Morocco.)

My crew saw the ticket prices and nearly all have said they won't attend.

These are guys that went to WC06, WC10, and WC14. They have more income now than 20 years ago and they don't even have to travel much for these games and they feel priced out.

Good job FIFA. You got too greedy.

Just booked (reasonably priced and cancellable) hotels in Vancouver, Seattle, Houston, and Dallas. 🤞

Now deciding how many family members I'm going to get to put in requests as I try to figure out chances of getting any tix at all vs chances of getting double booked on a date and having to try and resell tix. (Requesting 4 for each game at lowest tier)

Totally sucks but I haven't been to a WC before, and this may be my best chance.

I'd say it may be cheaper to fly to another WC location in the future for games but if FIFA is always setting prices, who knows?

Do we know how difficult it will be to resell or transfer tickets?
Is FIFA going to limit ability for transactions to get a cut / screw us?
