after bush of course, does anyone like Addai and white better than those other guys?????

hear me out....

Williams..smaller ,5'9"..Questions about not wanting to run up the middle,6000 + miles already on him. Played against sub par teams...blocking a question

Maroney...cant block, but is a game breaker.. main thing i dont like about him is the Pats off...will they ride him ..or is he just another piece of the puzzle

addai...same size as edge.5'11".great work out....faster than the others..Blocks well, catch out of the back field,tough...more complete than the others , Just due to coming off of a injury ..did not get as much time on the field..Great situation

White....we all know his problems...But Great feet for a big man..only competion..chris brown and Hennry...chow is in his corner...will he step up and get to work??

I have the 1:2 and 1:5 in a dynasty and I am concidering taking addai at 2 and white at 5...

Is ANYBODY WITH ME????? :bag:

I like Maroney best in the long run. Addai in a great situation, but will probably end up being a RBBC.

Addai went #2 in TOCOL, and that's a league with some pretty savvy owners (aside from me, of course).

This is silly. If you don't think that Maroney is good enough to succeed, that is one thing, and a good reason to avoid him. However, it is clear that NE will give the ball a bunch to anyone who can be moderately productive. They also will run in the red zone. Don't just look at Dillon, look at Antowain Smith's numbers when healthy and in the playoffs.

My concern with White is not his "character" questions. My concern is that even if he does eventually become the #1 starting RB, how good of a fantasy back is he going to be over the next several years. To me he has two things going against him, 1) A young QB, who will likely struggle some, limiting his trips to the red zone and 2) A big, mobile QB who will steal a lot of TDs from him. Throw in the potential split carries with Brown or Henry and he moves down my list.

I think any of the other three have bigger upsides than White.

:goodposting: I've had LenDale as my RB2 in my rookie rankings so far, and you bring up some excelent points why he should not be so high.

Simply put, I see White as Fisher's new Eddie George, a guy he can give the ball to 300 times a year. I don't see Brown as nearly as good a fit as White in Chow's offense, healthy or not. Of course, I also think White was the 2nd most talented back in the draft this year and TEN got a steal.

I am extremely worried about the supporting cast in TEN, though. Homers correct me if I'm wrong, but the OL is poor and Volek is mediocre at best. I do see a significant improvement on the D side, and perhaps this will keep TEN in more games which should mean more carries for White and less "catch-up" late in games.

300 carries for White???  I not sure he's in good enough condition to take on this type of load.

Right now, I agree....but I'm sure by camp his hammy will be healed and he'll be ready to go.I think Cecil Lamney posted a very interesting off the air comment from Jeff Fisher when Cecil asked what he was going to do with White--something to the effect of "Give him the ####### ball alot" while also calling Chris Brown a "good situational back".

Chris Brown is interesting. When he's healthy, he's put up excellent numbers at every level. I think he's one of the more talented RBs running-wise in the league. However, if he can't shake this injury issue he'll never any kind of big payday.

I can't rank the 4 after Bush. I can make arguments for and against each. Lots of people have strong reasoning, and someone is going to get this right, but i'm not sold on any argument.

Talent, I think...

Williams

White

Maroney

Addai

Situation, I think...

Addai

and ???

I'm probably drafting Vince and it'll be genius or lame.

I like that way of thinking. Anymore, when it comes to drafting, vet/rookie, dynasty/redraft, I just pick the guys I like. The minutiae just seems to get in the way. This year I have the 1.02 pick. I've liked DeAngelo for a while, so I decided to pick him 2-3 months ago. Nothing that's happened since that time has made anyone's situation any clearer, so I'm just sticking with my initial reaction.

Some great points for Lendale here. I was bummed on draft day to see him go into this situation initially, let's face it, the backfield is a crowded one. As I sat and thought about it more though, it's really as good of a place as any. I'm going to guess prior to the start of the season, either Brown or Henry will be shipped off, there's simply no way you can afford to keep all three of those RBs there. I suspect they would like to off Henry and his big contract but that may well what keeps him a Titan. Once that happens, you've got a situation where White can share carries. You have to like the fact that he has experience working with Chow already and has some knowledge of the offense. I didn't realize until I heard it on NFL Radio the other day is that White has outstanding hands supposedly, something that isn't necessarily a forte of Henry's or Brown's. Add to that, Lendale was passed over in the first rd., he's going to have a chip on his shoulder to prove that a) he was worth a first rd. pick and b) that he is the best back to come out of USC this year. In putting all of this together with some of Fisher's comments, I've become bullish again on White. I think Fisher and Chow's influence will be enough to flush away his character concerns.

As for Addai, I think this begs the age old question of talent v. situation. Does one take a better a talent in a poorer situation or a lesser talent in a better situation? I'm just not convinced that Addai is that elite type back.
