Anquan Boldin - ACTIVE (1 Viewer)

Anquan Boldin "won't be limited" Sunday against the Panthers, according to FoxSports.com.

It's uncertain if that means his snap count will be normal or whether he'll just be his usual self when he's out there. Often when a superstar gets on the field, his coach ignores any snap count. Boldin was the top-ranked fantasy wideout when he got hurt; we'd play him as a WR2 regardless.

FWIW .. CBS ..

Anquan Boldin, WR ARI

News: Anquan Boldin appears very likely to make his return to the field this Sunday in a road contest with the Carolina Panthers. The Sporting News reports that Boldin will see 30-35 snaps in Week 8 at Carolina, playing for the first time since injuring his jaw and suffering a sinus injury Week 4 against the Jets.

Analysis: Boldin underwent surgery to repair the damage and began practicing this week. With Boldin active and expected to see so many plays on the field, he should be considered a safe play this week. Reports all week out of practice have been positive and he's not expected to have any rust out on the field.

Anquan Boldin will start today and will not be limited, according to FOX Sports' John Czarnecki. He is coming back from facial surgery.

Our View

Boldin has a tough matchup against Carolina, but you shouldn't have any reservations about starting him.

30-35 snaps
Does this jibe with "will not be limited"? How many snaps does he typically see when healthy?
Heard on ESPN (think it was Clayton) about 15 min ago he will likely be limited to 30-35 offensive snaps, compared to normal 60-65 (I think that was the number). I guess if you have comparable options you might want to consider the possible snap limit, but from what I've seen of him, once he get on the field they might have a hard time getting him off.

Maybe they're just saying that Arizona will only get 35 snaps because Boldin will catch a few 60+ yard TD receptions on the first play or two of their drives. :lmao:

So wait a minute, if the prediction is Q will be out there for 50% of the snaps I think it is safe to assume Breaston will be out there when Q isn't. I also think it is pretty safe to say when Q is playing and ARI goes to a 3WR or 4WR set that Breaston will be out there.

In summary, Im trying to say Breaston plays more today than Q. Does anybody not agree?

Yes I agree that Breaston will see more plays than Boldin this week. Anybody saying different is probably just wishful thinking Boldin owners.

Not just wishful thinking...What if Q is playing well and tells the coaching staff to leave him in?Not unlikely with Boldin's toughness.

Food for Thought-----

Warner feels guilty for putting Boldin in that position....Look for Warner to make it up to him by helping his stats for the market....In the Redzone here on out, Boldin is the man...... Fitz is a team player and I'm sure he'll even want Boldin to get more. Wiz will not stand in Q's way!!!

Starting him, cuz if he is on my squad and he's on that field, He always has the chance to make a big play!

P.S. I posted this in another thread just thought I would throw it here too!

Plays aren't nearly as important as looks. Boldin is the heart of the team, so Kurt will be looking for him when he's out there. I think Q will get 50% more looks than Breaston. Hope I'm wrong, because I own Breaston and am going up against Boldin in one of my leagues

That's the problem I think some of us are facing. We potentially have better options than a half-Boldin.

Struggling here. Would love to start Boldin. Any other news/updates? They saying anything interesting in pregame?

I WILL NEVER AGAIN TRADE ANQUAN BOLDIN for LARRY FITZGERALD.

Kudos to Boldin man. This guy deserves to get paid next year, and I hope he does. Any questions about his mental toughness can be put to bed.
