The Indianapolis Star reports that Colts WR Anthony Gonzalez injured the PCL in his knee during a Week 8 win over Houston and could miss the rest of the season.

I would have a agreed with you last week when I picked him up off the WW, despite having suffered through dashed hopes & dreams of his return all last year. I figured it was just bad luck and I would cash in on him for the second half this year. Now, I'm done, I really don't think he "can" stay healthy. He's just not cut out to play pro football. Maybe he should try tennis?(Feel free to bump this thread and rub it in my face if he ever gets through another game!)i dont like that wording. im sure he "could" stay healthy. but he hasnt.
He suffered a ligament? What does that even mean?suffered a posterior cruciate ligament in Week 8
Can't hurt. Would expect it to help Wayne, Garcon, and Collie more. My question is why is he available? If your league has a TE spot and your not insanely stacked at that position, snag him up.Tamme's still floating out there in plenty of leagues.Does this affect his value materially?
That is a wicked insult to Carter and should be retracted immediately...he at least did something for one year...Whatever the cause, the results speak for themselves. The guy can't stay healthy. Reminds me of Kijana Carter.
We don't have the mandatory TE and I've already got White, Hicks, Mike Williams (TB) and Vincent Jackson. But I do carry Keller and may dump him for Tamme. I think it's just a matter of so many weapons on Indy's team and only one week under Tamme's belt. Can't hurt. Would expect it to help Wayne, Garcon, and Collie more. A sample size of 3: ever hear of the anecdotal argument?Whatever the cause, the results speak for themselves. The guy can't stay healthy. Reminds me of Kijana Carter.
Yeah, he's less useful in leagues that just have a W/T slot. I wouldn't dump Keller for him.We don't have the mandatory TE and I've already got White, Hicks, Mike Williams (TB) and Vincent Jackson. Fool me once - shame on you.Fool me twice - shame on me.It won't happen a third time.Like I said, feel free to bump this thread 1, 2, 3 years down the road if he ever comes back and does anything...like finish a game!A sample size of 3: ever hear of the anecdotal argument?Whatever the cause, the results speak for themselves. Maybe this one helps a bit....(TheHuddle) ESPN's John Clayton reports Indianapolis Colts WR Anthony Gonzalez sustained a left knee injury, probably a PCL sprain, after taking a "cheap shot" from Texans SS Bernard Pollard on Monday night football.Analysis: Jon Gruden or Ron Jaworski didn't notice it but after Gonzalez got hit out of bounds by Pollard, he stayed on the sidelines to have a trainer check his knee. He came back in for a few plays but left again. Colts HC Jim Caldwell still hasn't discussed it, but the Gonzalez mystery (mentioned in The Huddle's JUMbotron article this morning) is now partially solved. Whether it's a PCL or MCL, or whatever, it's not working out for Gonzalez and he shouldn't be on your fantasy team.He suffered a ligament? What does that even mean?suffered a posterior cruciate ligament in Week 8
Agree.Post title fail- Gonzo = Tony Gonzalas and him only. The Indy player is not worthy of a shortened nick name/ thread
Aaaah...if this bit of info only came out 5 hours before I cut Blair White in two of my three leagues...Maybe this one helps a bit....(TheHuddle) ESPN's John Clayton reports Indianapolis Colts WR Anthony Gonzalez sustained a left knee injury, probably a PCL sprain, after taking a "cheap shot" from Texans SS Bernard Pollard on Monday night football.Analysis: Jon Gruden or Ron Jaworski didn't notice it but after Gonzalez got hit out of bounds by Pollard, he stayed on the sidelines to have a trainer check his knee. Post title updated to hopefully make everyone happy.I'm not the board police, but the thread title makes it hard to do an effective search. Thanks for the information, much appreciated![]()
Rather than drop him, you should have lightly placed his fragile ### on the waiver wire. Now I don't feel so bad dropping him from my dynasty team 4 weeks ago.
