Any chance Local Markets will broadcast more important games? (1 Viewer)

So the Bolts and Skins meet sunday at 1pm in San Diego but this game is meaningless for both sides. Bolts wont be playing any starters and the Philly Dallas game is on at the same time and has massive postseason implications. Have the broadcast networks ever trumped the local broadcast games? Wishful thinking I assume but at least there is the redzone channel. There is always the chance of a blackout as well.

I'm looking forward to seeing the vaunted Charger offense of Billy Volek, Michael Bennett, Legadu Naanee, Kassim Osgood and Brandon Manumaleuna.

has norv said he'll be resting starters all game? might have to tease wash +3.5.
Not officially but forget the charger game. If i was in the colts market, i would not want to watch the indy game, or in NO the saints game. Guess home market fans with a locked up postseason need to hope for a blowout.

Legally, they can't. If the home market has a game on TV, it has to be aired, unless it's blacked out

No, you're screwed.

Another reason why as a Los Angeles resident I do not want a NFL team here. We would get stuck with Rams and Raiders games in the past and they suck, who wants to watch them. We now get the best games of the day and no lame lousy local team to screw it up. It rocks. This city is filled with fans of out of market teams, many transplants here from the east coast. Having a local team is a complete waste. KEEP THE NFL OUTTA LA! WOOP WOOP

pretty sure they're obligated to stay with the home market team until the game is over.

This is why I moved to Seattle. Having grown up in Oregon, I was forced to watch the reginial crap game instead of something important and interesting. In Seattle the home games were all blacked out. Then once I got here, the stupid hawks got good for a few years. I figure one more year like this past year and I will be back watching real football again.

Bad news, San Diego folks, they are only 750 tickets short of a sellout. They got the extension so it looks like you'll be seeing lots of Jason Campbell come Sunday. Btw, the Lions have already sold out. All per profootballtalk.com

You moved to Seattle for more favorable NFL broadcasting rules? That's hardcore.

I'm glad I live in one of two markets in the country showing the Browns/Jags Sunday
I rarely give a  to a Browns fan, but I gotta respect you sticking with your team at a time like this.Clev-Jax clearly is the most important game the least amount of people will see (what with the strength of victory stuff thrown in). :) -QG
