Any Jersey Mike's fans? (4 Viewers)

It’s probably the best overall chain sub shop, especially since they can out out a good hot or cold offering

I did see they were sold off to private equity or whatever so expect quality to dip over the next few years and you’ll see
Jersey mikes branded pepper relish and “mikes way” sub kits or something

Also in before someone mentions how there are better sub shops on every corner in New York

We had one open up by us a few years ago. Went a few times. We're 95% sure that when my son got Salmonella it was from their food. They were unconcerned. Haven't gone back since.

Jersey Mikes is good for a chain sub shop. Quite good.
I seem to remember falling asleep late one afternoon and waking up hungry, in the dark, in the woods, with a Jersey Mikes turkey and provolone on rosemary bread with oil and vinegar on it.
Would eat again.

We have one relatively close to where we live - my wife likes to get their chicken and cheese occasionally. Their sub rolls are consistently good. Seems like an obvious thing but to me it’s the one thing that they do better than other chains.

Not sure how wide spread they are, but the bread is the difference maker at both DiBella's and here.

They closed all but 1 in Michigan they were really good though

Too bad- with planning, DiBella's catering menu is a cheat code for families covering extra curriculars in multiple locations. When we are on the road and can't easily find something local Jersey Mike's is the default, but I am worried about quality suffering going forward.

I prefer primos. But JM would be second.

Strangely enough our local pizza subs shops are not great at subs vs pizza

JM bread is sometimes a little to "light/flaky" if that makes sense....need to be a tad denser

There's a reason why corporations offer discounts and other perks if you use their app. They want your data. Personally, I'd rather pay list price and maintain some degree of privacy.

The sub chains here in Virginia Beach are Subway, Jimmy Johns, Firehouse, Zero's, and Jersey Mike's. IMO Jersey Mike's is better than those others. There are some other good local places for sandwiches that I prefer, but they are not necessarily convenient.

Our family gets takeout from Jersey Mike's every 1-2 months. It is consistently good.

I’ve eaten at multiple locations, never had a bad experience and food is always great

Maybe the one time everything was backed up and they had online orders piling in that I think they weren’t making. One guy went and threw up in the bathroom because I think he was so stressed

They were short staffed and I’m guessing new because finally a manager came in and got it running

That said I haven’t been back to that location

I like JM’s and frequent there because of limited choices but if you ever get near a DiBella’s Subs give it a shot!

Perfectly good chain shop. Guessing the bread is an absolute calorie fest but the meat seems to be good enough quality (certainly compared to something like subway)

Gotta pre order on the ap and pick up though. Takes forever if you're in the line with them cutting the meat and people being idiots and taking forever to decide what they want and order

Its hard to judge this when I'm surrounded by non chain fantastic offerings and have no need to eat chain food. That said...ehen traveling, sometimes i have to. Yeah- its better than subway. Like chipotle is better than taco bell. And both are noticably worse than non-chain deli or burrito joints...even if theyre for my eyes the bedt of the chains ive tried.

I agree with the consensus that Jersey Mike's is very good for a chain. We get it maybe a few times a year - good when travelling or just pinched for time. My only complaint was one time we ordered online for 5 people and I think somehow 4 of the 5 orders were screwed up. It was weird because I'm not sure we've had any orders messed up the other times we ate there. Guess it was just the D Team that day.

Yeah. One of the signs I look for on the interstate trying to find something less terrible.

Had a friend in high school who worked for one and always would hook us up.

for a chain it's fine. still prefer togo's, quizno's and firehouse subs to them.
Is Quiznos even a thing anymore? I lived off that place my last 2 years of college but all the locations anywhere near me closed.

To me, this was proof that the unwashed masses would rather pay 5 or 6 bucks for a crappy subway sandwich than 10 dollars for something decent. Made me sad

For cheesesteaks outside of Philly, you could (and probably do) do a lot worse.

For an actual sub I prefer Firehouse or Capriotti's.

This is how I think of Jimmy John's. I ate their a ton in law school simply because their Hunter's Club was a full meal for $6 compared to better sub options for $10 but that $4 made a difference for me at that time.

Recently, my now 8 year old demanded we go to Jimmy John's for her birthday. Took me like two hours to talk her out of it which included finding a "fancy mac and cheese place" off of our travel route (we were driving for a conference on her birthday) to appease her. She loves that place which makes sense I guess as she has the unrefined palate of an 8 year old.

Love Jersey Mikes...easily the best sandwich chain. Mike's way is so damn good. Live in WI though not exactly a hotbed for fantastic local sub shops. There's one near me but they have limited hours.

Never had togos, but no way are quiznos and firehouse better than Jersey Mikes.

I have a friend who used to own a quiznos. They started using inferior meats years ago.

its been a long time since i have had quiznos or togo's, but remember them being better (maybe more options and toasted buns sway me?)

I do not see them very often either.

Yeah, there are usually much better local options that aren't much different in price.
