Anybody rolling with Sage this week? (1 Viewer)

Count me in as a Kitna owner in the semis who plans on starting Sage.

Actually, I just dropped Kitna and grabbed Garcia too. Kitna has put

up too many zero-or-one-TD weeks lately and I gotta swing for the fences

with a much better matchup of Sage vs. Den as opposed to Kitna vs. SD.

Garcia has good matchups this week and next so I grabbed him just

in case.

I'll be watching the stat tracker very closely tonight to see how Sage does

for us all (no NFL network  )

good luck to all!

Same boat here as both my QB's (Garrard and Big Ben) are possible weather (and drawn-out-ground-game) casualties. Just pu'd Sage and may do it.
I'm in your same situation. The weather is scaring me away from Garrard and Big Ben. The idea of starting Sage isn't exactly comforting though. :X

In my league, Denver is the #23 defense vs. QBs, and Rosenfels is the #22 QB (in terms of weekly average). Not the greatest matchup in the world.

:lmao:
I have to agree with the confusion. How is the #23 defense a tough matchup? That makes little sense to me. And Sage bing #22 in terms of weekly average makes sense, due to his having a couple games where he did not play the whole game. These are not things that detract me.Sage is going for me tonight...

I am rolling the dice with Sage as well. The weather is looking worse everytime at look at the Steelers game. I just have a bad feeling that is going to be low scoring.

I will definitely be showing up here tonight at some point. Bank on that. Hopefully with a very big smile on my face and a big lead heading into the weekend. And 15-20 sounds just fine to me. Just like you the QB position is definitely not what got me here.

If it were a good QB vs. a bad defense, it would be a good matchup. But this is just mediocre vs. mediocre.
Matchup has nothing to do with the player but the defense hes playing against. For example, Trent Edwards has a great matchup this weekend but that doesnt necessarily make him a good play. Sage Rosenfels has a good matchup tonight (I dont know how you can call #23 mediocre) that doesnt necessarily make him a good play. I contend he is. You contend he is not.

roethlisberger misses second straight day of practice...cause for concern????? i'm now strongly considering the sage bandwagon for tonight in my main league lol :)

Ben Roethlisberger (shoulder) sat out Steelers practice again Thursday.

Coach Mike Tomlin indicated early in the week that he only expected Big Ben to be limited "some" in Wednesday's workout, so a second straight missed practice is cause for concern. Roethlisberger's injury isn't believed to be serious, but keep an eye on his Friday status before using him in Week 15. Dec. 13 - 2:39 pm et

Going with Sage over Kitna and Garrard.
Edwards and Kitna will lose out for me this week and it is boiling down to Sage and Rivers. If Rivers had been more consistent I might have not picked up Sage but with the season he has had I might as well gamble against DEN although DET is a great matchup

Sage over Big Ben for me too. Pains me to say it but I think Sage is a safer play with a higher upside this week than Ben. Ben's stats have been not great lately and they are playing a tough team in windy conditions with a low score being a real possibility. Even if Ben does better, won't be by much in terms of fantasy points.....I think.

If anyone has a good case to the contrary....please post here before tonight's kickoff.

 ...in same boat here and that's where my thinking is...

Hell with it!! Sage over Kitna and Bulger for me this week. I have NFL Network so I'll see first hand if I made a mistake.

Sage over Rivers for me...he's to dinged up to count on. I can't believe I'm even still alive with him as my QB. Four leaf clover up my ### I guess

Ok .... now everyone ...... send your positive mental energy to Sage. "No reason to be nervous, you've done this a thousand times (not really but don't tell him that) ..... you're just playing catch with your buddies Andre, Andre, Kevin, your rookie RB and your TE with the O name ...... no one watching .... (only NFL network subscribers) ...... just you and your pals ....... just having a little fun ...... playin a little catchee ...... (don't dare mention he's playing for a contract) ....... and dog gone it ...... you like yourself."

Remember....stay positive + send the energy in your calm mental wave mode.

"Now Sage ...... GET YOUR BUTT OUT THERE AND RACK UP SOME STATS. " Woops.

I have to start AJ and O Daniels tonight and am swapping garcia and sage in and out - cant decide whether to run with the total package or diversify.

Still sitting with Sage IN and Garcia OUT over here ... I'm an underdog though, and feel like I need to take a shot with Sage's upside tonight. And I'm not starting 3 Texans, so that's different. GL.

Going with the SAGE over ELI. I can't believe FBG has Eli ranked ranked that much higher than Sage. Especially with the winter blast coming into the northeast this weekend (snow/sleet/rain and 20 mph winds) - I have to go with SAGE. And also may be starting Darrius Walker over Kolby Smith. And this is the 2nd round of playoffs! UGH

I cant believe, this board talked me into starting Sage over McNabb and Rivers. WTF.....
lol it is funny. I got sucked into the Sagefest as well.
More power to you guys. I can't bring myself to start him over Eli.
We are opposite there Bill - Good Luck - may the best shark win. I just have nightmares of that Giant/Skins game being 13-10 with 7 turnovers in the slop. Let's go SAGEBRUSH

Not greedy.....2 TDs would be fine.

110yds total and 1 TD not bad for a first half. Definitely need to make some adjustments in the 2nd half.

Hope these guys come out blazing. How bout Marshall?.....what a stud. He needs a TD though.

Marshall is saving my ### in PPR. Anything else now is just gravy.
