Anyone agree that Sophie Turner is a very average looking person? (1 Viewer)

:lmao:   Yes because for pete's sake we want to make sure this make believe world  is historically accurate.
So we should keep spinning this thing out of control until there is no sense of reason or reality? Sure it's a fantasy show, but there has to be some basis in reality. Without some basis in reality there is no suspension of disbelief. Or maybe they should have just had Jon Snow pull out a mini gun at the battle of the bastards? Or have Jamie get a mechanical hand and a new light saber?

Is it too much to ask to take the historically accurate cultural norm of children being married off as soon as they were physically of age (not necessarily mentally of age) out of the show because that would be portraying child pornography in our world where that is illegal and a cultural quagmire? The sex scene between Dany and Khal Drogo would be looked upon quite a bit different in the show if her age were true to the book which I believe was 13 or 14.

So maybe skip the historical accuracy argument and consider the possibility that nobody wants to watch a scene where a grown man mounts a 13 year old girl. Or is that just me?

The problem with Sophie is that she's an absolute sour#### on the show, AND she's a Stark and they all wear those thick, bulky cloaks.  If she had instead been cast as a brothel whore, happily whipping out her #### left and right and getting carpet munching/orgasm selling tutelage from Littlefinger, we'd all be saying she's smoking.
The sinister smile on her face as she walked away from Ramsay being eaten alive by his dogs gives me hope that sour#### Sansa is gone forever and there's a whole lot more going on in that red head now.

That's what I hope too and that is so GRRM's MO. Take a character, paint them one way and then spend 3,000 pages changing them into something else. When we first saw Sansa, we met a shallow, pretty girl that just wanted to marry a handsome prince and be a queen. She was obsessed with clothes and pretending to be a lady. I would like to think now that she is playing the Game of Thrones, albeit, I don't necessarily see her as wanting to be queen in the Red Keep. I think after all she's been through all she wants is to be in Winterfell and to keep her lands and family safe and is going to assume a leadership role to make that happen.

Arya, meanwhile, is about one inch away from wanting to go Full Mad King on everyone on her list:

"Burn them all."

Not sure there's anybody on the show who enjoys killing more than Arya does.

And I will enjoy watching her do it. She is the hand of justice and I hope she goes on an epic killing spree.

someone on a British GoT msg. bored called them "Spaniel's Ears"

:lmao:

look, she's damn lurvely, but the #### are a freakin' mess
All this criticism seemed to me to be a little harsh, so I decided to do a little refresher research on the subject. I've come to one conclusion: the internet has way too much time on their hands for Dormer nude photoshops.

i've seen some salacious Sophie 'shops, but nothing yet on Dormer - now i'm piqued ?

Dude, easy.  I agree, we don't need child porn.

I just thought the idea if historical accuracy was funny in regard to a place that is make believe.

Maybe take a deep breath?

I think the theory of relativity applies here. In my hometown, pretty much described as no place notable in the north, Miss Turner would easily be one of the most desirable women in town. Easily.

I just took a 5 mile walk down the beach in South Daytona. She would not even make the Honorable Mention list to the Top 100 on this one beach. She could easily been on the beach and I would not even have noticed her.

I guess the point is it matters what company you keep as to whether she is drop dead goirgeous or just another face in the crowd.

I think most in here are just disagreeing with the original topic of her being "very average looking", which basically means she is a 5. Even if you plop her down in Daytona, where there might be more 9's and 10's ahead of her, that doesn't make her a 5, as if attractiveness is zero-sum or there is some required forced distribution on the attractiveness scale.

Can we all agree that it worked out best that the original Daenerys (Tamzin Merchant), was replaced by Emilia Clarke? Check out Tamzin's "scenes" on The Tudors, to compare.

Nevermind the Ramsey Sansa scene that got people all in a fury.  Show would have been canceled if they did that scene with a minor Sansa*.

* To those who I know....I know it's different in the books.

Child, please.  Watch the first scene where she's sitting beside Jon and tell me she's hot.  You're the blind one if you think so.
If you truly live in a world where she's average, I want to move there. I walk through a supermarket and 90% of the women I see are closer in looks to the cast of The Hills Have Eyes than Sophie Turner.

I am normally not attracted to red heads much but she is a very attractive young lady. I would give her a Hollywood 7 and a real life 8.5

So, can we all agree that if Sophie is a "5" - then we would all date a "5", but, there is no way a "5" would date anyone who spends everyday on an internet forum?
