Joel Segal, agent of recently retired receiver Randy Moss, confirmed Saturday that he has not been contacted by the New Orleans Saints, and to his knowledge, the team has expressed no interest in his client.
WWLTV.com reported that Moss visited the Saints' facility Saturday.
The report came two days after Marques Colston, the Saints' leading receiver last season with 1,023 yards, suffered a broken collarbone in Thursday night's season-opening loss to the Green Bay Packers.
Lance Moore, who was second on the team in receiving with 723 yards in 2010, missed that game with a groin injury he suffered while the team was training in Oxnard, Calif.
If Moore is unable to play against the Chicago Bears in the team's home opener next Sunday, the Saints' top receivers would be veterans Devery Henderson, Robert Meachem and Courtney Roby and the inexperienced Adrian Arrington, who has seven career receptions.
Moss quietly retired in August after one of the most prolific careers in NFL history. He ranks second in touchdowns with 153, tied with Terrell Owens behind Jerry Rice. He's fifth in career yards with 14,858.
