anyone here into fishing? (1 Viewer)

Out on a 30 hour tuna trip today. So much boating time.

20 knots and 120 nautical miles makes for a long trip. Caught some small snapper so far, Vermillion and lane snapper. Moving to the tuna grounds now.

Starlink Internet is awesome. Last time I went on this trip there was no Internet/cell access.

Tell us more. Where did you go out of? You must be on a fast head boat or sporty at 20 knots? You can keep all the vermillion. Please fax me the lanes. Great for ceviche.

On below boat. It is A LOT of boating though. We did another hour stop but that spot was not as productive. Now it is 3 hours of boating to the floaters/tuna grounds.

The boat moves pretty quick for such a large boat.

Ended up keeping 12 blackfin in the 10 pound range. Caught 4-5 front half/tuna heads that barracudas ate the body of on the way up and then threw back a handful as well.

I was the first on the boat to hook into a yellowfin, jigging about 400 feet down. Fought it for 15 minutes and I had it within a 100 feet of the boat, but then it spit the hook. Too bad, would have been my largest yellowfin as all that were caught were between 90-130 pounds.

Oh well, next trip I guess.
