Anyone not like Eddie Lacy? (3 Viewers)

I would caution on those trying to buy low. This year is different. It's more than just a sore ankle. Lacy does not appear to be in good shape. He is very slow off the handoff. He has been plowing straight into his O line. Get rid of him now while you can! He will end up being second fiddle to Starks the rest of the year.
I think the conditioning is a legit concern, but Starks does not outplay him in long run.
I think it's 70% his bad ankle which should be better after the bye week

next week after the bye, playing @denver in the thin air could affect lacy's asthma. it's been an issue for him in the past in cold weather. maybe it'll be an issue again. at least something to consider

If we're thinking in terms of dynasty - isn't Starks turning 30 in a few months, and isn't he a free agent at the end of the season? Would Green Bay bring him back, and if so for longer than 1 year? If they don't bring him back, what's Green Bay's backup RB plan next year? Go back in the draft in the later rounds?

Just saying. Seems like a good time to buy.
I didn't think it was possible but he's actually doing worse than last year.
Left a game very early and didn't get much action in this past one. I'll start my panic phase if he's still playing second fiddle to Starks after the bye. He's looked plenty nifty otherwise.

I think the ankle is clearly bugging him, Jordy not being there has affected the Safety over the top, they can crowd the line more.

I think he needs the cold weather big time... can't get cold enough for him to start being used to some solid benefit.

I am swapping him out for JHill who at least scores the occasional TD, I need to see 12 pts from the guy to get him back in there for cryin out loud!

I just traded for him. He has basically the same stats as last year through 6 games. I do think this year is different as Starks has played really well, however as has been mentioned once the weather turns in GB they will look to run more. Additionally with as stagnant as the pass offense has been, I believe they will turn to the run more to keep defenses honest and create opportunities for the wr's.

2015

260 yards (3.9 avg.) 9 recs. for 83 yards 1 td

2014

306 yards (3.8 avg.) 10 recs. 76 yards 3 tds

He has asthma.

But you're right. When the weather turns and the conditions worsen, they seem like they take the training wheels off him and stop babying him.

in a 2 keeper league with deep bench i think i can package him with a WR (im very deep) for Lynch.

any promising news about Lacy coming out of GB this week?

I have been tempted as hell to package him and Cobb out for something like a top 10 player at RB/WR if I could do it, but I keep thinking the GB offense will get back on track. Denver is going to be a tough matchup, I almost feel like benching them another week.

Starks isn't practicing
Ryan Wood, Press-Gazette Media 11:54 a.m. EDT October 28, 2015

Green Bay Packers coach Mike McCarthy spoke with the media before Wednesday's practice, three days before his team travels to Denver for a prime time matchup against the Broncos on Sunday. Here are the highlights of his conversation.

On Eddie Lacy’s status: He looks good just watching him work out Monday in the individual stuff. I don’t think the injury is affecting him anymore.

On James Starks not practicing Monday: He has an injury. I talked with James earlier, and he’s hoping to do more today than he did Monday. It was an injury from the game.

Think we all knew the ankle was bothering him. Good to see he is past that now. Tough matchups the next 2 weeks, but if he can look healthy, that's a good sign in my book.

Lacy offers rolling in like crazy.
Care to share?
Package deals and league specific stuff, but you can tell people are doing their best to buy low before he comes out bull dozing.

Hold tight. Similar situation to Mike Evans post bye here.
I've been pushing to get him.

His owner is 1-6 and I'm 5-2.

I've lost Foster and Charles...but made moves to strengthen my WRs...now am just treading water at rb (C West, L Murray, D Lewis and now Blue and McFadden)

In some leagues you might be able to still use his name and package him with a WR3 and upgrade to a better RB or WR

I bought Lacy and Dalton for Allen Robinson and Peyton Manning two weeks ago.

We only start 1 RB and I lost Foster so grabbed Starks to cuff Lacy in a short bench league.

His schedule is tough I believe 3 of the next 4 are difficult. If he can keep his job getting most of the carries Week 14 at home vs Dallas in December. Week 15 @ Oakland.

I'd try and package him up now honestly. He has Denver and Carolina (away) the next two games and there's a very decent chance his stock lowers even more. I'd rather try and sell him during this period where everyone thinks there's potential he gets shot out of a bye-canon like Lamar Miller. This may come back to bite you in the #### but you'll probably get some decent return on your investment.

I don't know... sure you'd rather face a cream puff rush D but I really don't overreact to tough run defense matchups the same way given the GB offense. They spread out with multiple WR sets and use short passing, so its tough to go into any play predicting and scheming for run defense. Obviously it's less explosive without Jordy, but still its been an effective short spread offense.

I don't like this schedule. I can't believe I'm 5-2 with this guy playing so poorly. I am thinking I stand pat, hope my wr's, Olsen and eventually Romo will help me overcome. If Lacy becomes

Lacy then great. Unfortunately my #2 back is Woodhead in a non-PPR and my next best option might Orleans Darkwa!

Lacy owners.... Which of the following receivers would you be willing to trade Lacy straight up for. Choose all that apply. Non PPR redraft, 1 point per 20 yds.

Odell Beckham?

Mike Evans?

Martavis Bryant?

AJ Green?

John Brown?

Traded Maclin for Lacy tonight.

I already have AJ Green, Jeffry, Evans and Diggs so I felt I could give up Maclin in hopes Lacy returns to form. Ankle injury should be a thing of the past

Yes for Beckham, Evans and AJ Green

No for M Bryant and J Brown

I'd hold on Evans, but think I'd move him for all the others

Evans is about to start getting 15 targets a week.

In an nano second for those 3

Rotoworld:

Eddie Lacy is focused on lowering his pad level for Week 8.

"Watching film, I’ll notice that I’ll take a hit and I’ll break the tackle, but I’ll break it sideways, which will allow other people to come tackle me," Lacy said. "Versus in years past, my pads would be low so when I take the hit I’m still moving forward. So it’s just getting my pads down and getting back to basics." Both Lacy and the Packers say he's over his ankle injury after getting the bye week to rest up. Even in a difficult matchup with the Broncos, Lacy is an RB2.

New Lacy owner this week and know he will see ball more as weather gets colder
As well as the buffet line. This guy's shelf-life will not be long.
I thought we put that theory to rest some time ago. I am a dynasty owner and not concerned at all. Why would Lacy have a shorter shelf life than any other RB?
He's getting fat. This isn't the offensive line.
He's a battering ram with shiftiness and agility, especially in the receiving game. The added weight will prolong his tenure, not shorten it.
You still peddling this BS, or were you able to trade him?

Why would I trade him? This is deja vu all over again-you must be a Larry alias. FYI, this time last year he had only 15 more points than he does now and he finished as the RB6 overall. Going into the games last year in November, after a similarly less-than-impressive start, Lacy's FF numbers were: 22.2, 20.3, 24.9, 26.8, 12.5, 25.1, 17.8...

Do some research before posting such crap, numnuts.

Numnuts? Really? Is that how spell it?

You've invited research, so speaking of such, what do have him projected at for the 2nd half of the FF season?

Jordy Nelson was also playing last year and lacy wasn't competing for touches. You're fooling yourself if you think last year's results are about to repeat themselves.

I don't think my projections qualify as research, but I'll play:

ROS stats:

170/765/6TDs and 30/325/3TDs or 193 FFP's
