Anyone not like Eddie Lacy? (2 Viewers)

does anyone have the stones to start Ed this week?
If Starks ends up being out or it seems like he'll be limited then Lacy should be a pretty big part of the game plan.
James Starks - RB - Packers
Coach Mike McCarthy said James Starks (hip) has looked good in practice this week.
"Hope he plays," McCarthy said. If Starks is able to go against the Broncos, neither he nor Eddie Lacy would be anything more than a high-end RB3. The Broncos are just as stingy against the run as they are against the pass.

If I had him (been trying to get him)...I would.

Starks possibly out or limited.

Eddie will get plenty of work.
plenty of work could still translate into 13 carries for 32 yards against that defence.
Not that I'm comparing Lacy to Charles and Peterson, but both of them had nice games against them. They've shut down some pretty bad offenses. This will be their first real test.

There's also a really good chance the GB defense creates some short fields. I imagine they'll try to get Lacy going in this one.

Numnuts? Really? Is that how spell it?

You've invited research, so speaking of such, what do have him projected at for the 2nd half of the FF season?
Nobody really cares to see you two bicker.
And really nobody cares to see kOOk troll and muck up another thread.
What are you talking about? How did I muck up the thread? I hadn't been in here in weeks. Find it, show us what you're talking about.

I tried to say that Lacey was becoming a fat-### and would not last long because of it. What in the world is wrong with that? There's been approx 3 pages of people saying the exact same thing.

But I am the one mucking up the thread?

Please, do your very best and show all of us some proof of your accusations. It's not hard to do.

New Lacy owner this week and know he will see ball more as weather gets colder
As well as the buffet line. This guy's shelf-life will not be long.
I thought we put that theory to rest some time ago. I am a dynasty owner and not concerned at all. Why would Lacy have a shorter shelf life than any other RB?
He's getting fat. This isn't the offensive line.
He's a battering ram with shiftiness and agility, especially in the receiving game. The added weight will prolong his tenure, not shorten it.
You still peddling this BS, or were you able to trade him?
Why would I trade him? This is deja vu all over again-you must be a Larry alias. FYI, this time last year he had only 15 more points than he does now and he finished as the RB6 overall. Going into the games last year in November, after a similarly less-than-impressive start, Lacy's FF numbers were: 22.2, 20.3, 24.9, 26.8, 12.5, 25.1, 17.8...

Do some research before posting such crap, numnuts.
Jordy Nelson was also playing last year and lacy wasn't competing for touches. You're fooling yourself if you think last year's results are about to repeat themselves.
Exactly. I'm also not buying the "JUST WAIT TIL IT GETS COLD" argument. People are really reaching. Like Rodgers will stop throwing or something.

For anyone interested in current trade offers being received, was offered Brandon Marshall for him. Standard scoring, other guy is loaded at WR, probably hoping to hit on Lacy in the second half. Haven't decided to take it yet or not.

I'm wondering where people are placing his dynasty value now. Anyone want to take a shot at doing a top 15 RBs for dynasty?

This whole Green Bay offense stunk last night. Rodgers was an a abortion. What do you expect when the entire team lays an egg like that? At least we got a TD. He put scored freaking discount double check last night.

It's a euphemism for how awful they were on offense.
Then he should have said "a contraceptive" because they didn't score at all...

Eddie Lacy managed to be the one sperm cell that found the end zone that night. But wow.....that offense as a whole was downright bad. But all credit to the Denver defense. They are really really good.

Yes. I have to admit that, after watching that game, I had to do some serious re-evaluation. I really didn't know the numbers behind what Denver is doing to teams this year and Wolfe coming back has been a big help. They are simply loaded from front to back.

I think it also shows just how pedestrian (by their own standards) the Packers offense has been when you look at the numbers.

I believe people have taken some notice this week in that a lot of people are at least talking about benching Luck/Hilton, etc against the Broncos. That's insane because you'd think this is a drool-worthy shootout waiting to happen but it might just be the right decision.

Never sniffing my lineup again this season. I own him in one dynasty league and he is done.

Incredible how bad he is this year. Plain incredible.

Went #1 overall in my redraft.....holy crap man.

Lacy has been bad, but the whole offence has looked pretty bad as of late. Starks had 5 carries for 9 yards last week.

In dynasty he still has value. In redraft not looking very good at all.

Agreed.

Packers are looking horrid.

Pack do look bad but having to go into Denver and Carolina back to back is brutal.

But yeah Sasquatch is a joke, as I said a month ago.

And dynasty wise? He was never going to be any more than a one or two year flash in the pan. Hope he is doing his money, as he'll be out of the NFL come 2018. I'd bet a finger on this.

This guy is a big reason I won't win my league this year. I felt so good about his prospects for this season. Meanwhile I'm getting blown out because Lamar Miller is having a day--a guy who I could have drafted several rounds later.

I think the best thin to happen right now is Lacy goes down. I have Starks and would be happy to start him based on what I've seen two of last 3 games. He's making plays. Eddie isn't. Don't need Lacy's presence muddying things up.

I just traded his fat #### for Char West. PPR redraft league. In case anyone is wondering about trade value.
Sounds like the other guy just got a steal
Yikes! One guy got a guy that has won me titles for two years. The other guy got a guy with two games on his resume who plays for a team whose head coach couldn't even utilize their legitimate star RB correctly. If Lacy runs for a flat 40 yards a game every game for the rest of the year, I think the Lacy owner still wins. West may be standing on the sideline watching Davis in as little as a month.
Update?

No it won't. He's huge already and it's going to be tough for a guy with that build to keep the weight off. Just look, he's fighting it already. For now though, yeah he's a beast, which is great. I love watching him run and he's the perfect compliment for AR and GB.

But as I said before, he won't last nearly as long as you think (which was my point). There is no way he will be able to move as fast. And I don't see many Jerome Bettis's killing it in today's NFL. Do you?
What is he fighting already? He twisted his ankle, just like any other player does. Just because you say he won't last as long as I think doesn't make it so.

The fact that he CAN move fast and with lateral agility is what makes him so viable. Just like Bettis. That combo of speed power and size IS rare, which is why you don't see many HOFer's like Bettis killing it in today's NFL.

Mileage is far more impactful than weight. Limiting Lacy's touches is a great thing for him, the team and his FF owner's. He can still produce at a high level while getting >300 touches.
:goodposting:

I have a bad cold, explosive diarrhea, an odd itching sensation in my groin area and had 8 beers and still outscored Lacy today.

He smells and I curse myself for drafting him.

I think one of Lacy's family members writes for Rotoworld. This Starks commentary is laughable.

Starks was the clear lead runner, especially after Eddie Lacy fumbled with five minutes remaining in the first half. However, the vast majority of his production came with the Packers playing catch up in the second half. There's been a window for Starks to seize No. 1 duties as Lacy struggles, but he's not good enough to do it. Although he's been better than Lacy, Starks is still averaging only 4.28 yards per carry. For now, Starks will be the 1A as Lacy tends to 1B duties, but Lacy should still ultimately be the No. 1 down the stretch.
