I heard he signed his contract at a Buffalo Wild Wings
Lacy can be effective if he's stays healthy. Problem is his running style and his life style are not conducive to him staying healthy. This just sounds like a really big waste of money. 3 million guaranteed plus you now have to stay on the guy and make sure he drops 20 pounds? Good luck with that.
I agree if healthy. But 3 million guaranteed before he loses a pound? At 267lbs his market would be almost nil. I think they could have made it more incentive laden. Im not sure how motivated he will be to earn that extra 2 mil knowing he'll get another contract from another sucker in a year.Lacy can be effective if he's stays healthy. Every week he's in uniform. How many weeks will that be?On this team, he will have every chance in the world to rush for 12+ TDs, even if they are mainly short yardage goal line. TDs are the great equalizer in ff for a rb so although he may not be svelte and rush for 1650/14, he will have very good value in ff considering on any given week he will be a legitimate threat for 1-2 short yardage TDs plus some game-killing yardage.
That's true for any player and, as rbs go, lacy has been pretty durable. I think if we are assuming it is a given he is going to miss games, we are probably over reacting to last year. The first three years of his career, he played in 15,16, and 15 games. How many rbs in this league miss only two games in three years?Every week he's in uniform. How many weeks will that be?
Seems extremely optimistic IMO.On this team, he will have every chance in the world to rush for 12+ TDs, even if they are mainly short yardage goal line. He played in 15 games in 2015. You weren't happy if you drafted him though. He was pretty average and ineffective and he was struggling with his weight by most accounts. I just see a downward trend on this guy and weight seems to be a part of it. If he's in shape, I agree with all your points. That's true for any player and, as rbs go, lacy has been pretty durable. I guess that is depending on perspective but I wouldn't say extremely in any case because marshawn Lynch pretty much put up that many TDs every year he was in Seattle while battling injuries. I think Seattle and their qb and skill players pose more stress on teams now than they did then in terms of options in the red zone. I'm not saying I think lacy becomes a guy that wows us with 125+ and is a juggernaut but I can easily see 50 yards a game just based on situation and I think the seahawks seem to be one of those teams that find themselves in short yardage goal line situations quite a bit. Just my thoughtsSeems extremely optimistic IMO.
Maybe he just wants a big back in case the Hawks get a pivotal 1st and goal from the one...
Marshawn Lynch>>>>>>Eddie Lacy for starters, but I think you're way off-base about the current Seattle team. They only had 13 rushing TDs last year and 10 the year before, and that's team-wide. They have one of if not the worst offensive lines in the NFL.I guess that is depending on perspective but I wouldn't say extremely in any case because marshawn Lynch pretty much put up that many TDs every year he was in Seattle while battling injuries. Unless their line improves massively they are now a passing team. Also Rawls will get a piece of that pie.On this team, he will have every chance in the world to rush for 12+ TDs, even if they are mainly short yardage goal line. I share this same point of view but with Prosise. I think both are a buy with potential upside267 Pounds? No bueno. Mt $$$ in on LACY being a bust and Rahls is the value play here. Grab Rahls on the cheap in all formats and sit on him.
Could be another Tampa Bay from last year. 3 decent backs but lots of different starters due to injury. Not calling Prosise injury prone but last year wasn't a great indicator of durability. Rauls injury history speaks for itself. Fatman is not on my target list either. The situation doesn't look very predictable or stable.267 Pounds? No bueno. At 267 already are we certain they aren't asking him to just gain 27 more pounds to help with the O-line woes?Lacy's contract has weight bonuses. I guess we will see if money motivates him

However, $385k is nothing when you're guaranteed 3 mil already.
Also, SEA wants him at 240? So he's got to lose 27 pounds in 5 months? Yikes.
That would be done by May. Could have some creative OL reporting eligible formationsAt 267 already are we certain they aren't asking him to just gain 27 more pounds to help with the O-line woes?
So Bob McGinn lied?He doesnt weigh 267, lol. If you believe that, I got a timeshare to sell you on. The photo of him getting off a plane is nowhere near what a guy who weighs 267 looks like.
OK. I'll trust your eyes over an independent reporter with inside information on what the scale actually said. Fair enoughYes, he lied. He is sharing a bitter dudes report of an "un-named" team. i have eyes >>> https://twitter.com/christomasson/status/841687173015429121
Obviously I have no idea, but admit that he looks pretty good in that picture. He's look a lot more sloppy if he was 267.OK. I'll trust your eyes over an independent reporter with inside information on what the scale actually said. Fair enough
MIN GB and SEA offered similar contracts. He took Seattle to be in a run-first offense. Seattle's deal has weight incentives built into it.Obviously I have no idea, but admit that he looks pretty good in that picture. He's look a lot more sloppy if he was 267.
It would also be hard to believe that the Hawks would sign him for $5.5MM ($3MM guaranteed?) if he was pushing 270. They're a pretty well run organization. That would seem pretty irresponsible.
Minny isn't expected to be a run first offense? Seems like least competition for him in Minny. SEA has shifted away from Run first. What am I missing here?MIN GB and SEA offered similar contracts. He took Seattle to be in a run-first offense. Seattle's deal has weight incentives built into it.
MIN OL was horrid for running the ball. Seattle went away from running the ball but historically they re run first. Wikson had his worst season ever being asked to carry the team. That team works better with Wilson managing the game and them running the ball.Minny isn't expected to be a run first offense? Seems like least competition for him in Minny. Care to elaborate? Which part don't you agree with?Yeah no
Pretty sure his passing numbers were pretty similar to other years but his rushing was way way down. Unless you count all the running for his life he was doing behind the line because they couldn't block for poop.Wilson had his worst statistical season as a pro while SEA didn't run the ball last year?
Wilson was hurt for most of the season. I think Seattle is trying to be more of a passing team. They were a running team when they had Beast mode and Wilson was less experienced. But whether they're a pass first or run first team neither will work with a crappy OL.Care to elaborate? Which part don't you agree with?
MIN had a bad OL and couldn't run the ball?
SEA is better when they run first?
Wilson had his worst statistical season as a pro while SEA didn't run the ball last year?
all of that can be backed up by facts, records and statistics
Career low for passer ratingPretty sure his passing numbers were pretty similar to other years but his rushing was way way down. Unless you count all the running for his life he was doing behind the line because they couldn't block for poop.
Back to Eddie Lacy, lol
If the guy in this picture looks like he weighed in 267 this week, your opinion on things is of no value to anyone any more. :laughing emoticon:

Lol, a trip down memory lane is always good for laughs. I remember when people used to tout Lacy over Bell. Oops.I find it odd that the Steelers found Lacy's toe injury to be a bigger concern than they found Le'veon Bell's suckitude to be a concern. Bell's slooooooow.
He's always looked like a slim fat guy TBH. But regardless I think arguing over what we see vs what's reported is just worthless. We can agree to disagree on thisThat is the source, but the guy writing it forgot people still have eyes.
Also after the BeastMode line, prepare for some "FeastMode" remarks. :laughing emoticon:
I'd rather wager on an over/under for his playing weight...Vegas odds on Lacy this year
Eddie Lacy
Over/under rushing yards: 950
Over/under rushing touchdowns: 7.5
Would you use a scale for that or your eyesI'd rather wager on an over/under for his playing weight...
hack jobWell, we dont want to use your eyes Brew. lol
And for that matter, did you even see a scale or you taking a hack jobs word for it?
