Anyone think Barnes gets benched Sunday? (1 Viewer)

Id say its likely.

Seriously, why do people submit to field tests and breathalyzers?

To blow a .12, he would have had to drink quite a bit more than a "sip" of "hennessy and coke"

In some states, it's an automatic loss of their license if they refuse.Better questions:why do people try and double their legal driving speed while intoxicated?why do people that can afford to pay for a cab or designated driver choose not to have one?And of course the obvious one: why drink that much at all?

Oh yes, in most states that is the case. But even so, if the choice is getting a DUI, losing your license anyway, and facing jail time, why give a police officer evidence to convict you on a DUI when otherwise youll recieve a lesser charge? One that can be easily managed by a good lawyer the likes of which an NFL player can afford to hire. The rest of your questions are, of course, the right ones to ask, but assuming a person is that stupid, i dont get why they insist on adding to it.

Well in Maryland if you don't take the field breathalyzer they arrest you and take you to jail, then force you to take the breathalyzer at the station. The test at the police station is the only one that is admissible in court, however if you take the field test you can requet your lawyer to administer the test at the station, or opt for a piss test, or a blood test.Having your lawyer show up gives you some extra time to sober up a bit.

1 drink which is 1 shot, 5 oz of wine, or a 12 0z beer will have about a .04 for BAC for a normal sized individual. Mr. Barnes is rougly twice normal sized. In roughly an hour you'll burn of a drink so at the time of driving he'd had at least three drinks in the last hour or a whole heck of a lot more before then.

Any news on whether Barnes is playing?I am not familiar with the Jag oline. Any idea of the impact if he is out?
He's is indeed inactive today. Dennis Norman is starting in his place (he filled in last year at center when Brad Meester went down). This is a downgrade for the oline because Barnes is a very good tackle. With that said, I still think the O-line is going to be OK today though.
