Apparently my cubicle has a plug that controls half the office (1 Viewer)

TheIronSheik

SUPER ELITE UPPER TIER
I just leaned back and stretched my legs a second ago. When I did, my shoe kicked something under my desk and the power to my computer went off. I thought, "Dammit. I must have turned off the surge protector."

But when I looked underneath, I see this huge black plug connected to an inch wide wire slightly knocked loose from an outlet. Just then, half the people in my office started to fidget around and I heard some mumblings. People saying their machines just turned off. I reached my foot down and pushed the plug back in. At that point, everyone started saying, "Wait. Mine's coming back on."

I feel like I might have too much power.

Yeah, I don't think I'd want to be around that circuit either.

With that much power, you have to do SOMETHING.

Then post about it HERE.

Some considerations -

Buy a remote controlled buzzer (like THIS). Place the noise maker in the ceiling tile somewhere in your office. Pick your favorite sound. Play the sound, and then turn the power off for 5 seconds. Do this every day for a few weeks. At some point, play the sound, but DON'T turn the power off and watch people start getting panicked.

-or-

Schedule meetings with someone who is in an impacted area. Every time you are about to start a meeting with them, kill the power.

-or-

Kill the power at exactly 5:00 every day.

This is very good. Very very good.

This is stellar. I was going to post something about killing the power every time Employee X answered his phone, but this is much better.

You should try to get the sound from the movie the Purge. Even better

Gotta love Pavlov

Clearly you are descended from a god and should demand tributes! Tell the women they should receive your seed and the men that they most go conquer other offices in your name.

Wait, you're not in a 4,000 SQF private office?
I'm not sure if you are referring to the time I used a calculator to figure out my office SQF and severely messed up, but if you are.... kudos. That's a hell of a callback.
:notebook: Can't believe no one else noticed. How hard is it to get a like on this board? :brush:
I wanted to verify the validity of your post before blowing one of my hard earned likes for the day.
