Are you sitting Ray Rice this week? (1 Viewer)

I'm still kinda undecided but I am strongly considering playing J. Kuhn over Rice this week. Green Bay should jump all over Detroit and I think Kuhn will be used to run the clock in the 4th. I also like his chances of scoring a short TD (possibly even two) this week. Who plans to sit Rice and for who?

I was thinking of sitting Rice for R.Brown, but now some rumors of a possible late game hammy tweek last week for Ronnie. Still up in the air.

Do You have a link for browns hammy? As for this thread I have ray in NFFC so it will be very hard to sit him unless I play a weaker WR like hit or one catch Hester!

sitting for shone greene and lance moore in flex. I think he comes up real small even if he does play

Was mentioned in MoP`s RBs to exploit/avoid thread.

Yes. Had 3 injured RBs going into this week including Rice and I decided to go with Mathews since he actually practiced all week while resting all last week.

Hes been saying hes fine since he got hurt, so unless he doesnt play then I will be starting him in all my leagues, same with Best.

I'm rolling with Ray Rice (assuming he starts) and Ronnie Brown this week. I just can't trust Portis with Shanahan (Satan Incarnate) prowling the Redskins' sidelines.

Hoping for a lot of receiving yards from Rice to offset the lack of rushing yards vs. the Steelers.

I am going with Lance Moore too. I just can't afford to have Rice get re-injured, or McGahee get a larger share of the carries this week. Plus, the Pitt D looks like the 2008 version again. They have completely shut down CJ, and Turner so I am gonna hope Moore can squeeze out another good game against an overmatched Car team.

I have him on my bench, but am probably going to start him.

For these reasons:

1) I mean it's just a "bruise" right? He says he feels fine.

2) He played the Steelers well last year.

3) The Steelers defense is red hot, but this is a key divisional game and I bet the Ravens pull out all the stops. The game last week has got some nervous of the Steelers, but it was the Bucs that they trounced.

4) I'm still not afraid of the Steeler O. The game should be tight and Rice will be relied on throughout the game.

Will probably bench him or Best for Forsett but will wait until late to make decision, hoping I get some more info

I am sticking with him. More because my options are limited than anything else. I picked up McGahee in case Rice can't go, but my other options are Reggie Bush and Michael Bush so..........

I think a lot of you guys are crazy. I f he is playing, he should start unless you have way better options. I mean, it's fine if you are talking about Mendy, Gore, or another top flight option, but let's get real....the OP is benching him for John Kuhn!

That is insane.

I just checked last years stats and he had had 18 and 14 points against Pitt in a ppt...if he can come close to that, he is worthstarting.

Sitting Rice for Amendola at flex. ;) We get points for return yardage and Amendola is going against a terrible Seahawk PD. We only have to start 1 RB and I've got that covered with CJ.

To answer OP - Yes, McFadden. Been struggling with this all week as I expect Rice will play. Only reason I am going with McFadden is the defensive match-ups.

Now the question is, how long do we give him to get right? I benched him for LT in two leagues and Bradshaw in another, and I think I'm keeping it that way til Rice gets > 100 total yards in a game.

Well, for now you can't panic and say he's a total bust. He's not living up to his draft choice and shouldn't be an automatic start every week if he's not healthy but it's not like he's going to ride your bench for the rest of the year. Forte sucked last year but he had a couple decent games still and was somewhere around RB20 in my league so he was still startable. If he's healthy, practiced all week, and has a good matchup then you start him. If he has a tough matchup and his bruise is still bothering him then you sit him. If he manages to do well against a tough defense then you start him every week afterward. Better to miss one week then to miss five more weeks and throw away your season because you are stubborn.

I don't really have a lot of choices, but if Mcfadden is injured, I will be starting Michael Bush over him this coming week.

Still wasn't the best of calls but Kuhn did outscore Rice in my league by 1 pt. Pitt's D this year isn't near the same D it was last year...

It's a scary thing to consider benching Rice for anyone.
This. I believe there may be a few people remembering a specific fantasy football mantra after the game.
Don't start your injured studs against the league's best defense?
 You beat me to it, I was going to post the same thing. How about another mantra: Make sure you are continually evaluating and re-evaluating all of your players to determine who actually is indeed a stud.Or: Don't overvalue your own players.
