Apparently he touched her ###, also when announcing her name said something about thinking it was a new item on the Taco Bell menu. I chuckled.

He’s not a priest; he’s a pastor. 

No self-respecting priest would ever touch a woman. <_<

Maybe I'll have to look this up. Now I don't know if people are pulling my leg or not. 

If he did all that, that's a less than banner day for personal space and etiquette.

Oh dear. I'd like to look on the bright side of humanity and say that's just awkwardly groping on accident, but he's got quite a bit of consoling going on there. 

Hmmm...probably best to keep hands away unless she was going to faint or pass out.

For me it isn't really what you see him doing.

It is her reaction.... her face, she is pulling away from him pretty forcefully.  On purpose or not he should be able to read that.

Just to lay it all out, let's first remember that 1) they had never met before, 2) they're at a funeral and 3) he's a pastor and this all takes place in the current #metoo and Catholic Church environment.

He made a racist joke about her. Yes, on the grand scheme of things, it's not all that high on the list, but it's a ridiculously inappropriate kind of thing to say at a funeral. This wasn't SNL or a roast, it's a freaking funeral.

He then goes in for the "hug". Now, there's just no way this wasn't intentional IMO. There is only one way to side hug a woman that you are not extremely close to and that's with your hand on the outside of their arm. The hand simply doesn't go to the body. Period. And if it did, it CERTAINLY wouldn't go up that high. And if some messed up twist of fate landed your hand on the woman's breast, it should be coming off like you just touched lava, not digging in and kneading it like a baker working a dough.

The joke? Who cares? If you are appalled, get over yourself.

  The reach around? Pretty significant issue in my opinion.

Willing to bet this feel up is a well practiced move by the pastor.

Seriously the thinking is he’d intentionally do that in front of basically the entire world on television?  For a cheap thrill?

Seems like a weird dude with a limited understanding of personal space.  Just can’t fathom it being much more than that.

Could be, like that wierd uncle that gets too close and touchy.

Or could be that he is so comfortable groping women that he when he sees his chance with a hot celebrity he goes to his natural instincts disregarding all the obvious attention it could garner.

Actually, it's pretty common for abusers to take advantage of situations like this knowing that the person they're assaulting can't gracefully get away from them in that situation. These sick folks get off on the control and humiliation. And they do it knowing that they can just claim it was an accident and all of their followers will buy it can keep supporting them.

It's the exact phenomena we see in politics where we see politicians brazenly and obviously lying and being creeps and yet their supporters will look the other way or shift blame and a dually support the person even more.

I sense an undercurrent in here that ultimately there are a lot of middle aged white guys that don’t like the idea of a black man with his arm around a white girl.
