Ariana Grande makes Otis grande (1 Viewer)

I sense an undercurrent in here that ultimately there are a lot of middle aged white guys that don’t like the idea of a black man with his arm around a white girl.
I'm not sure what you're saying. Can you be more specific on what leads you to believe that?

Seriously the thinking is he’d intentionally do that in front of basically the entire world on television?  For a cheap thrill?

Seems like a weird dude with a limited understanding of personal space.  Just can’t fathom it being much more than that.
Internet much?

Just to lay it all out, let's first remember that 1) they had never met before, 2) they're at a funeral and 3) he's a pastor and this all takes place in the current #metoo and Catholic Church environment.

He made a racist joke about her. Yes, on the grand scheme of things, it's not all that high on the list, but it's a ridiculously inappropriate kind of thing to say at a funeral. This wasn't SNL or a roast, it's a freaking funeral.

He then goes in for the "hug". Now, there's just no way this wasn't intentional IMO. There is only one way to side hug a woman that you are not extremely close to and that's with your hand on the outside of their arm. The hand simply doesn't go to the body. Period. And if it did, it CERTAINLY wouldn't go up that high. And if some messed up twist of fate landed your hand on the woman's breast, it should be coming off like you just touched lava, not digging in and kneading it like a baker working a dough.
:lmao:

Actually, it's pretty common for abusers to take advantage of situations like this knowing that the person they're assaulting can't gracefully get away from them in that situation. These sick folks get off on the control and humiliation. And they do it knowing that they can just claim it was an accident and all of their followers will buy it can keep supporting them.

It's the exact phenomena we see in politics where we see politicians brazenly and obviously lying and being creeps and yet their supporters will look the other way or shift blame and a dually support the person even more.

Actually, The “white” girl didn’t like the black man with his arm around her and Hand on her breast

Why is white in quotes? Are Italians not white anymore? Do I need to worry that I may not be white someday? I don't want to lose all of my privilege!

I'm so outraged.
I'm sure you'd say the same thing if your wife/mother/sister/daughter was groped by someone they don't know, right?

There's actual video proof with his fingers digging into her breast.  This isn't any kind of gray area.  It's inappropriate and it's wrong.  It says a lot about anyone trying to argue otherwise or stating "it's no big deal" or "what's the outrage?".  You are a part of the problem.  And yes, it is a problem for many, many women.

But keep doubling down on your side.  It's a really classy look.

part of the problem?  come on man dont be childish

why are bigots and the ignorant so proud of themselves?
What on earth is bigoted about their position?

You're a funny dude, but you can't even get your terms right when it comes to sociopolitical issues like these. They're not bigots for believing that this is no big deal. I can think of a lot of other derogatory ones, but bigot?

The name-calling seems to be a fad.  You don’t really need anything behind it.  Just throw out racist, sexist, bigot, etc. and bail.  He could have made a stretch for sexist I suppose.

I’m actually pretty appalled at what happened to Ariana though. That guy is a serious ####### creep.  Someone with that kind of gall is doing a lot worse behind the scenes.

So you disagree with his terminology more so than his position.

Yeah, but it reveals something about his general worldview regarding these matters. To be able to toss around "bigot" while using it incorrectly almost betrays someone who uses it for no reason at all.

You know what I mean? I'm usually on the side of letting these things go, and even I thought the pastor was really, really sketchy. It would seem to hold more weight coming from a skeptic than someone at the ready and willing to toss out the misnomer "bigot" right away, and toss it out there incorrectly.

Yes, I agree. I think what he did was deliberate, and don't dig it. At all. But bigot?

I agree 100%.

The people that don't feel the same have me shuked.

Groping someone is a weird thing to shrug off, let alone how brazen it was.

I see a lot of people are outting themselves as defenders of the practice of sex abuse and assault. Other than an odd case of trolling, I see no other explanation for the "it's no big deal" opinion. I wonder if these people are in favor of these type of actions by men if it was against their sons, daughters, wives, sisters and mothers.
