Arizona to host NFC championship game! (1 Viewer)

This is the first time the Cardinals have ever won two playoff games in the same season - pretty cool. This will also be the first championship game hosted by the Cardinals since 1947 (assuming, of course, that Philly holds on to beat NYG).

You guys ever have a team get into your playoffs but have a crappy record? Then they win it all? Ridiculous and I tried to tell the commissioner that we should draft something up to fix that.

if sports weren't a business and they weren't making boatloads from all these playoff games, they'd have 2 conferences, no divisions and they'd take the top 2 teams from each conference and have a semi-final and a championship.at least the nfl isn't quite as bad as the NHL or NBA.We're in the decade of teams with less than stellar regular seasons winning it all.. st. louis cardinals '05 - worst world series champ by reg. season record.. pittsburgh and NYG being #5 or #6 seeds and winning it..an we could be in for a real doozy this season in the nfl.they sure may make good money on these playoff weeks, but they've just about lost my business in the regular season since it's becoming nearly meaningless

Yes, it has happen a couple of times. That is what makes watching the NFL exciting, if you don't like it start watching the NBA.

I was kinda joking...hahaIm happy for the Cardinals. I do see what you are getting at though. But Im sure it'll all correct itself.

Is Boldin definitely back next week? Warner is feelin' it. Fitz is otherworldly, Edge + Timmy H = 1 Decent to Good RB and the D is playing out of their minds. Add Home Field and the Cards could really pull this off. Wow!

I'm believin' it.I think Boldin "will" be ready.

As a Detroit Lion fan..I am happy to see the Cards finally have some success. :lmao:

It must be a great feeling.

For all the haters, it's just one year.

What are the historical playoff winning% for teams with better regular season records? I bet there's a huge advantage.

That said, AZ hosting the NFC championship is pretty sad.

Fun stuff for football. Cant wait
Really? Two 9 win teams.. the winner of a absolutely putrid division and a team that played Cincinatti to a tie.. for the NFC Championship!!!I mean this is historically bad stuff

Why? Beause you don't know anything about them.

I guess they should stop playing the games because everyone knows who the best teams are anyway.

There is no excuse for losing a Football game by a convincing margin. The 2008 NFL season has been wide open. Neither the Giants or Panthers were elite teams. The Giants missed Plex and Eli can still be erratic.

No, because they closed the season with 4 losses in their last 6 games and got WAXED by Minnesota, New England, etc, etc.For someone who's impartial here, this is truly disgusting.. one of these teams is going to the super bowl, and they just played a large part of the season really poorly

Stick to the "i hate women" schtick. You're not getting anywhere with this.

no they should take less teams and re-format things so that 9 win teams don't get in.

I don't know what game you were watching but Arizona looked pretty exciting to watch to me. Arizona is winning when it counts most.

let's just forget the regular season and have a 32 teams ncaa basketball style tournament and crown a champion.. then we won't have meaningless games when it doesn't "count"

Only New York and LA teams, right? Otherwise, NOBODY will watch.

Well who should be in then?NYG - lost to Clev and has lost 3 of 4 to end the season.Car - crushed at home by AZDallas - don't even go there.

I think your disgust should be with the Panthers and Giants for playing so poorly and allowing themselves to lose to these teams.

The NFL has desired parity forever, it's what they want. And if these 9 win teams were actually that bad, they would have lost in the playoffs already. The Cards and Eagles look like playoff teams to me.

Car beat AZ once also.. so they are 1-1I can't defend how badly Car played yesterday, but I can say that I hate one and done playoffs ( i will give a break to the Ncaa basketball tourney) because one game upsets suck.super bowl result sucked last year.. and the results this weekend have sucked for impartial football fans.

i was disgusted with the panthers. i hate the giants though because of last year's bad beat.I wanted to see panthers over eagles

That would be a terrible game, Carolina was dominated by the worst team in playoff history.

they're playing good football when it counts.
Word. Pretty much the only thing that needs to be said.Heading down on Saturday, anyone else attending this Desert Classic?
I'll be there. :banned:
It depends on the price of a good ticket. I should a least make it to West Gate.
We usually go to Cadillac Ranch down in West Gate before the game and then head over a little before game time. Buddy of mine knows the owner of it so we get hooked up pretty well. Gonna be a fun week here fellas
