Arrow - the series (1 Viewer)

With all the Justice League characters being announced for the upcoming Superman/Batman movie, how smart would WB/DC be to roll in this version of Green Arrow into that continuity?

I think it would be smart and could work. Problem with (Agents of) S.H.I.E.L.D is they will never get the movie characters into the TV show. Here they already have Green Arrow, Black Carney and The Flash. Plus they have set up villains and Sidekicks. They could easily crossover with Batman/Superman now that they have brought up Ra's al Ghul.

Could have even before Ra's was mentioned since the League of Assassins have been all over the show for a while now. Add in Slade from the beginning and you have a built in crossover to the Bat universe. Superman is more difficult though since his only connection would be through Bruce.

And I must have missed something but only Wonder Woman has been announced for the next Superman. There are a many more members of JLA than those three even though they were three of the seven founding members.

I didn't mean literally all the JLA characters being announced, just that it's starting to expand out beyond Superman and Batman. Of course, it seems like the logical extension of that is that they will be at least building to a full JLA movie.

I've watched since day 1 but never saw the thread. I really like it, although it's not going to win any awards. I like a lot of the small details they throw in (ship's name Amazo, seeing Cord Industries, etc).

Um unless the new continuity was Silver age then yes. Silver age the founding members were: Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, Flash, GL, Aquaman and Martian Manhunter. New 52 swapped MM with Cyborg.

That's where it seems to be going, but I fear that DC will jack this all up. They need to task one guy to run all of the DC movies so they are more cohesive like Marvel is.

Technically, yes. Actually, there's been a number of "official" founding lineups. The original from the 60's is as you said. They retconned that in the 80's, Post-Crisis, with Aquaman, Black Canary, Martian Manhunter, Flash and Green Lantern. Then they retconned it again after Zero Hour and said it was that lineup plus Triumph. Then after Infinite Crisis they retconned it again back to the original lineup from the 60's. Then of course the New 52 wiped all that out and started over, which isn't really a retcon I guess, since it's a whole new timeline.

you can catch the last 6 at .

http://www.cwtv.com/cw-video/arrow/full-episodes

or the whole season at

http://www.solarmovie.so/tv/arrow-2012/
You can also buy the individual season 2 episodes on Amazon Instant Video for $1.99 each. That's what I'm currently doing until I catch up with Hulu Plus and the last 6.

Thanks for this guys - Ill check these out. If none work out I'll just buy the 3 or 4 episodes from I tunes and I just realized that the latest 4 episodes on demand.

$50..... get real. Do they think my last name is Queen?

Consider though... does $1.99 per episode sound reasonable? At 23(? 24?) episodes per season, that works out to nearly fifty bucks for the whole season. If all you're doing is buying the ones you miss, that's one thing... but people that make a habit of buying this stuff are paying a premium for shows that are online for free (legally - I'm not even talking about pirating stuff).

Well, they're also releasing it on free television.

Good show.

Nobody in Starling City is ugly.

Katie Cassidy and Emily Bett Rickards...oy.

It is available on Netflix.

I watched the last 3 episodes together and thought it was a fun ride with unexpected twists.

Yeah, I thought the season 1 finale was pretty good.

Will tune in/purchase/stream Season 2.

Besides, between Katie Cassidy and Emily Bett Rickards, I'm compelled to watch.

Checked it out because of the Flash trailer. Powered through the 2 seasons in about a week. Good show. Anybody know when season 3 starts?

Family just got into this show. Watched all of season 1 on Netflix about a month ago, season 2 arrived on streaming yesterday and we are already 3 episodes in. Looking forward to catching up over the next few weeks while we DVR season 3.

And yes, the eye candy in this show is top notch.

I'm not sure it made sense to send Sara away in the finale last season only to bring her back and kill her in the premiere this season. Further discussion in spoiler tags to be safe, although I'm not mentioning anything the creators haven't made public.

I get that having Ras al Ghul kill her sets him up as the season's big bad and gives Laurel something to work toward as she transitions into the Black Canary character, but it felt hasty and out of place. And I don't see how giving Laurel a few episodes of training montages is going to turn her into a suitable badass (I guess nobody has complained about it with Roy, in fairness).

I was intrigued by this thread, so watched the Pilot. Now it seems, I have a couple of seasons to watch. :nerd:

Worth it imo. Yea you need to watch the early seasons to learn the background and see the development of the main characters.

So I am 3 episodes in, starting the 4th. I am assuming at some point they let Diggle know that his brother was tattooed on Deadshot?

Finished season 2 off of Netflix. I had been recording this season on my DVR but then lost it when my external disk started futzing up and all recordings were lost. Will have to find it online now.

Excellent series. I had originally watched the pilot and maybe the second episode and gave up on it because of how stiff of an actor the lead is. But the series does an excellent job of storytelling overall.

Love the lengths they are willing to go to in impact to the city around the characters as well. Especially the stuff at the end of the second season.

I think this has been an excellent show. Love how they can be subtle and let smart fans work things out for themselves. (For instance: we see Harley Quinn in a walk by and the characters do not have to say, "Hey, that was Harley Quinn.") Very happy with the direction and overall show.

I'm sure we'll have a two or three Ollie-less episodes, perhaps to give room for Laurel as Black Canary and Ray as The Atom, but it's hard to think that it will stick considering that Oliver's ex-Argus partner was there as a member of the League of Assassins who (presumably) knows about the Lazarus Pit.

Another possibility is Merlyn knows where they were fighting and might have some interest in keeping Oliver alive.

Good episode, although this season has been treading water a bit. And yeah, put me down in the "3 or so eps without Oliver" camp. One thing this show has been good about since day one is not dragging too many things out.

I don't think there will be any episodes without Oliver. Now, there may be 2-3 episodes without Oliver in Star City.

Getting really tired of this show stealing from the Batverse. Ra's, Lazarus pits, O.M.A.C (and not created by Bruce), what a crock of ####.

Im enjoying The Flash and just watched the cross over episode with Arrow. Worth the time to go on a Netflix binge and catch up on Arrow?
