Backup RBs with good keeper potential (1 Viewer)

Who is the guy that will be in a lot of top 20s RB lists that is a backup right now? There always seems to be one. Chester Taylor this year, Lamont Jordan last year, and Thomas Jones the year before. These guys could have been had pretty late the previous year. My opinion for the next one is Michael Turner. He's an RFA after this year and has done great in the little bit of time he's gotten behind Tomlinson. Thats my 2 cents.

Ladell Betts, UFA at year end, and roughly the same age (27) as both Jordan and Taylor when they became starters. Good size, 5'10 225, and good hands as well.

If anything happened to Rudi, Chris Perry would step in and be a top ten preformer. Unfortunetly he isn't a FA for 2 more years.

Chris Perry

William Green

Ryan Moats

DeAngelo Williams

LenDale White

Laurence Maroney

Michael Turner

Jerious Norwood

Brian Calhoun

Of this group, I'd say Maroney and White are the most likely to make an impact within 1-2 years. Maroney is the safest pick of the bunch.

When you factor in ADP, Green, Moats, and Perry are pretty good values. They could all be starting within the next 1-3 years.

I think Turner will find a starting job for sure.

I love Adrian Peterson in Chicago.

I think Norwood will be a top rb one day.

I think and love a lot of things though.

Here's my sleeper as far as backups though.

Brandon Jacobs... if he can keep his pads down, he will be a beast. IMO......
