Brutal day yesterday without the run support I expected from FLA. Not much in the early games that I like. Wish I would have caught the pit/stl under where it opened. Just one play for now:

The Nationals are just a terrible defensive team and they cannot even touch Arroyo. Ortiz actually looks pretty good except when he threw a double play ball into center field.

I have a few small parlays working right now....but one play I punched earlier:

CHW -143 to make 2 units

Buehle just outdueled Santana and has been outstanding for the past 2+ years now. Add that along with a much better offense and I like the White Sox here and the number is a good value to me.

I had this parlayed with the Under in the Min/KC game. F'n Willie Tavares doubled his RBI total for the season in this game. :hot: I think the Mariners are going to get worked again, and I like Washburn. I just think Chicago is more than capable of winning this series, so I'll take...

Got robbed of a nice cash today by some poor closing by the Brewers. I really wish that shot to the warning track would have went over to blow Turnbow's save. :hot:

Two early plays for me tomorrow:

MIN/KC U8.5 -135: Both teams really struggling at the plate. Twins have been especially bad on the road. Santana has been off, but facing a weak lineup he shouldn't give up more than 3. Bought a half run.

COL +155: I like the value here. Rockies have been good on the road (6-3) and each pitcher as faced the opposing team this year. Lieber got rocked, Cook was lights out.

First thing this morning hit Minn (Santana) - 183 for 5 units. I like fading KC all year long, and even though -183 is much more chalk than I prefer to lay, I gotta like my chances here.

Also parlayed Beckett -136 with Santana -183 for 1/2 unit

thinking about that philly/col over but the chalk on that over has been HUGE all series long ( and hitting all series long - i wonder if today is the day the worm turns - what say the FBG baseball cappers?)

These wreak of value. I may lose, but those lines should not be that high. Shawn Chacon is all of a sudden worthy of a -270 favorite? I know he got hot last year, but that was 4 games. Does anybody remember him on the Rox (Coors Field or not)? The Yanks slaughter lefties, that's the downside, but I do like Hendrickson's one start this year, a 9 inning, 3-hit shutout @ Bal (before the DL).

As for Santana, I love him, but he has not been his usual self. And it's not like Minnie is doing much better than KC anyway, not to mention they are below the Mendoza line vs. lefties.

Keep in mind, I am cold. YTD...5-7...+1 unit.

fwiw - i also can't figure backing chacon at that price - I may have to plays the D rays this evening as well; besides TB has given the NYY fits the past couple o years

Better day yesterday, although that stinker from Beckett cut into my profit a bit.I'm going all out tonight though. I'll post my plays a little later this morning. I just cashed out a bit of profit and I'm going to Vegas in a few weeks, so I've decided to run my account up for a nice chunk of change, or run it dry and reload after I see how much I lose while out at the craps tables. Hopefully I'll run hot the next week or so.

Some afternoon action for me.

I have Milwaukee + 126 (Bush) - 1.5 units

Bush is pitching very well right now, sub 4 ERA, 23K vs 6 walks. Sure he is going up against Maddux, however, the Cubs w/o Derek Lee are not the same team, and 40 year old Maddux isn't going to be going more than 90-100 pitches. I see a low scoring game, in which case I like Milwaukee's offense more than Chicago's. I think Milwaukee is outstanding value here so I'll see how it goes.
