Well, I just sent in my pre-get-home-plays. These are generally plays I come across here and there and just get them in in case I don't have time to make any plays at home...you know family obligations or some such distraction.
Both are RL parlays, cause I ####### love these things.
NYM -1.5(Trachsel +140)/Bos -1.5(Lester +100)
Mets are at home, Trachsel is a decent starter, Williams hasn't really been lights out. Plus the price is right on this one +140 is pretty good. As a comparison, Hammels -1.5 is +140 too, but the ML on that is -109. The ML on the Mets is like -141. Yes, I know the Mets are at home....but not sure if that extra half-inning is that much of a plus. Anyway, I like this one.
Boston is simply betting against the worst team in the majors

Oh, I'm a Red Sox fan too, so call it a homer play if you will.
Hou -1.5 (Backe +145)/Sea -1.5 (Hernandez +105)
Again, just playing against bad teams here. The Astros just came off a 6-game road trip in which they won 4....against SD and AZ, two teams in playoff contention. Now they get to come home, after a day off, and load up against the lowly Pirates. They really need this series bad, and they have to know it. I'm not a huge Backe fan, frankly the guy sucks, so I'm probably on the over too a bit later. Astros bats are heating up, a little, plus Berkman's back so let's see what we can do. Astros tend to fare pretty well against lefties too so hopefully Garner can light a fire under their asses and get some runs.
Seattle is simply because they are at home, have a guy that can be lights out, and well their playing the ####### Devil Rays. Seo has been pretty outstanding this year, with a 3-9 record and a mid 5's ERA. Dude's let up 22 HR's in only 110 innings, is VERY hittable. Only problem is he may not pitch tonight, so here's hoping he tries to pitch one for the team. I know the Mariner's are not exactly World beaters either, but again I have Hernandez, who has a sub-4 ERA at home (crushed the Rays the only time he faced them). And I just read that the Seattle bullpen has like a 0.96 ERA over the past 10 or so games. Hopefully again, we get some runs early and shut down this vaunted Devil Rays offense.
G'luck!
