Their play has been pretty bad as of late. They were porous mainly against the pass, but now they seem to be porous all around. This past week's stinker makes me wonder if they are even rosterable anymore in a redraft. They have JAX, NO, and GB left with only the JAX matchup somewhat attractive. Are they worth holding onto yet? I don't want this to be a WDIS or anything. I do have another option I secured awhile back, but am overall just curious what others are thinking about them. What do you who own them think? Anyone rolling with them going forward?

Their desperation for turnovers is what makes them special.

I think their schedule puts them in a do or die situation.

As long as they have a shot at the playoffs (start and continue to win)

I think they are going to go after it a little more.

Jax - Oline shambles

NO- Shootout due to D

GB - Huge game if the win the first two

There are some factors here that may create some more opportunities and intent for Turnovers and Defensive TDs,

which is what makes the Bears a valuable fantasy defense

PS: The Titans get a Browns Virgin this week. That oughta be fun. over.

Honestly it all depends upon your league's scoring system. If you get dinged more for your defense allowing more points/yardage I wouldn't feel comfortable starting them. However if your league is like mine and rewards turnovers and defensive TD's without punishing points allowed then go for it.

As a Bears homer I was really big on the Chicago D this year and was thrilled to get them in the draft. They started out OK but they've been "solved". They really can't stop anyone and they don't have a powerful enough offense to generate a big lead and then play downhill defensively. Also the return game which used to be good for 4 or 5 TD's a year is now a liability. Hester obviously spent the offseason reading the clippings of how great he is. He makes ridiculously stupid decisions, doesn't protect the ball, and spends too much time looking for a seam rather than getting up to speed and taking what is there. When Hester isn't returning kicks the return game is middle of the road at best, and that's being generous.

Yeah, our scoring starts taking OFF points if the offense gets too many yards or too many points against a DST. So if your DST gets a few sacks and turnovers, but gives up a lot of points and a lot of yards, you get nothing to show for it. This has what has hurt them in my league. I'm giving serious consideration to cutting them loose as NO and GB will score a lot and pile up a lot of yards.
