Bengals vs. Packers MNF- what are you watching for? (2 Viewers)

:bye: to Ryan Grants hopes of being the feature in GB. RBBC here we come. Jackson is far too good to not get heavily involved in the offense.
Dude he almost got Rodgers killed in the first series. Talented? No question. :lmao: at anointing a full blown RBBC
:lmao:
Good posting? The dude has broken two tackles, and looked bad other than that. Missed a couple blocks, and danced way too much behind the line of scrimmage. He got bailed out on one of those dances when the DT that eventually made his way to him took a swing at his facemask instead of trying to tackle him.He looked good shimmying out of those couple of tackles, but this is the worst tackling exhibition I've seen on a pro level. The Bungles defense looks like a college team, and a BAD college team at that. Even the GB WRs look like Adrian Peterson once they get their hands on the ball.Donald Driver has also slipped two tackles when he was wrapped up and laid another guy out like he was Walter Payton. James Jones broke two tackles while reaching over his head and bobbling the football.Seriously, start anyone and everyone against the Bengals' defense this year.

If you're going to beat out Rudi, you gotta hang on to the ball Perry :lmao:

edit: Snuck out of the way of that fumble...

That early play was questionable, he was sent on a screen route. Granted he should have altered his receiving route to pick up an unexpected rusher, but it wasn't like he was supposed to be left in to block, the play was designed to send him on the screen. That was as much if not more Rodgers fault for not being aware of the blitz and dumping off.Grant ~ 200 carriesJackson ~180Like i said, were looking at a FULL BLOWN RBBC.

YAC is Packers bread and butter. Driver is one of the toughest WR's I've ever seen. He never goes down on the first hit.

All the Packers WR's are pretty good after the catch.

Many of these passes are quite high but kudos on the GB recievers on being able to reel them in after being hung out. A better secondary might take advantage of WR stretching to grasp those passes.
Yeah, Rodgers needs to get the ball down. I can't believe Jones didn't get annhilated on that TD.

If he had caught it when it first hit his hands it would have looked a lot better. He bobbled it, and should have gotten absolutely lit up, but Cinci has high school kids playing defense.

:lmao: Jackson has done as much, and actually a lot more, then almost any RB in the NFL would have done with what he's been given in this game.He broke 2 runs off that only a handful of current NFL RB's could have.Suck it up and get a hold of Jackson if your a Grant owner, denial is gonna cost the Grant owners if they don't get Jackson while he's still affordable.RBBC, mark my words.

I'm not getting this game where I am, much to my disappointment. Will it be on the web anywhere? If not, can anyone link me to an online radio broadcast if there will be one?
It's Monday night football on ESPN. It's national.
I'm in Canada :lmao:

I realize the Bengals D sucks, but Driver does this every single game. They never get the guy down with the first hit.

If that comment was only based on what were seeing here it would be laughable, but it's a lot more then that. The staff has been calling him one of the most improved players this year for a reason, the guy was raw coming into the league and needed some time to get comfortable. He's got all the tools needed to be a successful RB in the NFL. If your a BMI fan you've gotta be in love with him.

Considering everything, I'd give Aaron Rodgers the grade of a B tonight. It was only a quarter but he had some balls that were dropped that were good throws. The offensive line looked pretty good, he didn't have his deep threat I thought it was an above average performance.

After watching that interception by Brohm's first pass, I'm bumping up Rodgers grade to a B+.Rodgers better not get hurt...........

The only thing worse than annointing a RBBC based on 1 quarter of preseason football is annointing it based on mini-camp coachspeak.Seriously, go back and look at the history of guys who've "looked great" in training camp. I'm pretty sure that at this point being praised in camp makes you more likely to never ever be FF relevant than the other way around. But, you make sure you grab Jamal Robertson in your draft. He looked great in camp for like 3 years in a row, too bad he barely has a regular season carry to show for it.

Rodgers was impressive and looked as calm as a veteran tonight. When you consider the week he had, any grade short of an "A" is not high enough.

His looking extremely improved isn't based on training camp speak. Unless someone who is extremely high up in the organization was lying over dinners with his neighbor then i'm gonna go ahead and believe it wasn't off season BS.Seriously, your sounding in huge denial which is going to only come back to hurt you. Grant is the starter, that i'm not arguing, but Brandon Jackson IS liked a lot by the organization, it isn't some line of BS. He's gonna be used this year. Will it be as much as Grant? Probably not, but will it be quite a bit, yes. Grant won't be getting 300+ carries, it would be foolish of the Packers to do that to him when they have another RB behind him who does some things as good or better then him.

Well, I'm the guy who started the Aaron Rodgers get on the bandwagon thread (btw, there's still a few tickets remaining on that train), I just want to be the guy pimping him prior to the preseason then start passing out grades of A's.In all serious, I thought a couple passes were a little high. If A is perfect or close to perfect, I guess I can be convinced of an A-.

I am glad I am not drinking every time they say "Favre". We did think about it but we work tomorrow.
I was just going to say that everyone had to do a shot of beer everytime kornholio or one of those other morons said Favre. There would be no more alcohol left on the planet though.

I think you were right on with your B. There is plenty room for improvement but a good first outing.

agree on Rodgers, you also have to give Driver a B+, he could be the favorite of Rodgers, and looks in great shape!!!

Your exact quote was "the staff has been calling him one of the most improved players this year". If that's not coming from camp/practice, where exactly is it coming from, seeing as that's all we've had this year?It doesn't really matter either way, because the staff "loving" a guy isn't really any better than a guy "looking great" in training camp. Al Saunders LOVED Ladell Betts last offseason and Betts was coming off a good season on top of that, yet he barely touched the ball compared to what all the comments lead people to expect.
Seriously, your sounding in huge denial which is going to only come back to hurt you.
How many people can you name that came in as the unquestioned starter, failed to the point that they were benched, and ended up becoming a big factor again? I can't really think of any. Close, as some guys were brought in a RBBC or to compete for the job, but Jackson was given it on a silver platter and failed.Every time, EVERY SINGLE TIME this happens we hear about how that guy was just raw, or was just learning the game, and about how much better he's looked in the offseason than he did before. Yet, it NEVER works out that way.Fantasy football player's biggest fault is that they refuse to learn from the past. This is just another example of that. And if Kevin Smith or Matt Forte or one of those guys falls flat on their face this year, we're going to be hearing the EXACT same stuff about them next offseason.

Ya, Driver was impressive but that doesn't surprise me. We'll have to see how Jennings fits into this offense with Rodgers. Rodgers appears to like to throw the deep ball, that could only be good for Jennings.I see Driver getting his 80 receptions or so in this offense, it's Jennings where we have to see if he gets those long balls he did with Farve. I think his numbers are at risk to take the biggest hit.

Agreed...threw some high too...but all in all a solid performance for what its worth in preseason against a bad defense.

Perry has looked very impressive considering how long it has been since he actually played in an NFL game, he has great quickness and and looks very powerful and obviously has great hands. He also made a couple nice blocks including a very nice blitz pick-up.

He's also been dropped behind the line of scrimmage on more than one occasion. He has been good thusfar, but I wouldn't sell the farm for him yet.
