Considering this was a Super Bowl, and considering it was the most dominant offense ever on the field, what do you say?

IMO, this was the best defensive performance ever, the level of energy displayed by the Giants' D, especially the D-line was amazing, truly a game for the ages.

Not even close. The most clutch defensive performance, maybe, but 274 yards and 2 TDs allowed, while a very good performance, is hardly in the discussion for "best ever". Not when there have been defenses that have limited good offenses to 0 points and under 100 yards, or even under 50 yards.

He probably meant in Super Bowl history.
Did you see what the Bears did to the Pats in XX?
True, but that NE team wasn't exactly an offensive powerhouse. What the Giants did to the Patriots today was probably more impressive than what the Pats did to the Rams seven years ago.

Considering they were playing the highest scoring offense in NFL history, YES, this has to go down as the best defensive performance ever. I'm sorry, but the '85 Patriots were no were near the caliber of this team on offense.
