 - Bordeaux, Cab, Syrah, etc.
This is best food with beer, not best drink with steak.
Im just saying if you are drinking a beer with a steak you are doing it wrong. That being said, i like beer with a burger or korean BBQ so i guess in general "steak" can mean many different things.
I drink steak with both, depending on mood.

Usually during summer with a homemade steak I'll opt for a nice nice IPA or a red ale.

Winter time, I'll likely go with wine.

Pizza I need soda.

Mexican I drink with horchata.

Wings I'll do beer, but I like steak better than wings.

You non blue crab people have no idea what your missing. Picking hot, old bay-spicy crabs while drinking can after can of mediocre beer is better than any other kind of eating.

did that at that market w of inner harbor. you could see the cockroaches walking in and out of the beer tap holes.

Situation depending. When BBQing, regardless of what the side nosh is (nachos, spinach/artichoke dip, etc) and what's on the grill (ribs, steak, burgers, dogs, etc.), there is no better situation for a beer and no right or wrong here.

That's called grilling not BBQing.

Definately a really good burger. Soft bun, medium pink inside. Bacon, peppers, cheese. Thick cut fresh fries. So perfect.

Any German food. It's the only food I drink beer with. Pizza goes best with a super cold Coke IMO. Reminds me of afternoons at the boardwalk on the Jersey shore.

Schnitzel, German pretzels, sauerbraten, rouladen, Schweinebraten, schweinehaxe, bratwurst, Weiss wurst, obazda, spanferkel, kartoffelklosse.... These foods were designed to be eaten with beer.

Actually, add raw Apalachicola oysters to the list. The briny flavor of that particular oyster just screams for a Bud longneck.

Varies with the type of beer for me.

APA/IPA - Spicy food, or pizza

Helles, Pils, Marzen - x-wurst (x = brat, knock, weiss, etc)

Porter/Stout - blue cheese or dessert

I love beer and I love food, but they are mutually exclusive (sampling while cooking notwithstanding).

Act 1: Drink lots of beer

Act 2: Eat

Act 3: zzzz

When food happens, the beer stops flowing; if I eat from the get-go, I'm a teetotaler.

Want a designated driver? Buy me dinner!

I need to remember to eat more often when I drink beer. Someone text me a link to this thread next time I go to happy hour.

Wings are so incredibly ####### overrated. I don't get it.
Wait.

- Chicken dark meat

- close to the bone (even more tender and flavorful)

- crispy skin to meat ratio is crazy high

WTF do you want man?????
They're ok but people act like they're ####### magic on a bone. Maybe I've had mediocre wings but give me a burger, fried chicken, steak, a good chop, even a decent roasted chicken over wings
