Best QB Under 25? (1 Viewer)

cstu

Footballguy
This excludes Luck, Wilson, Stafford, Newton, Tannehill, and Foles.

Remaining QB's:

Bridgewater

Bortles

Griffin

Carr

Manziel

Mettenberger

Geno Smith

Manuel

Garropolo

Osweiler

None of the above??

Bridgewater and Carr in a tie.

Mettenberger and Osweiler in a tie for the next two, just cause they are unknown and supposeldy have talent.

Future Franchise QB:

Bridgewater

Should be adequate:

Bortles

Carr

Mettenberger

The wildcards:

Garropolo

Osweiler

Most likely not, but maybe...

Griffin

Geno Smith

Manuel

Ryan Nassib

Logan Thomas
The "no, just no"

Manziel

The best QB under 25 *excluding the best QBs under 25

I think Bridgewater joins the exclusion list next year. Carr maybe but I am intrigued by Osweiler, mainly because the Broncos seem to be sold on him.

None the exclusions are under 25

Bridgewater is a star about to break out. Super smart on the field, just maybe not as strong an arm as Luck or Wilson. I see him ending up like Matt Ryan but maybe a little better.

:goodposting:

Carr should be at the very top of his bucket; his range of outcomes is closer to Bridgewater's than to Bortles' or Mett's IMO. Thomas should be in the Manziel bucket ... I don't care how raw you're considered, if your team would rather ride with Ryan Lindley than give you another shot under center, that's pretty damning.

And I have no earthly idea what to do with with RG3. Is it possible to still be considered a "wildcard" after 3 full seasons in the league?

Other than that, this is pretty spot-on.

Close to my take. Bridgewater is clearly the favorite by doing well as a 22 year old rookie.

More optimistic on Bortles, RG3, and Geno.

Less optimistic on Mettenberger, Nassib, Logan, and Osweiler.

I'm on fence about Carr but he has a shot to be a franchise QB.

Also feel good about Garoppolo.

Wilson is the best young QB followed by Luck.
Get out of here with your trolling.
Wlson beats Luck in just about every stat you can name and is headed to his 2nd straight Super Bowl, but whatever.

Yikes, I didn't realize the "under 25 years old" category for QB's was so weak.

Right. Like passing yards? passing tds? completion percentage? Great post.
Wilson beats Luck in the following (to name a few):

Completion percentage

Yards per attempt

TD to INT ratio

Passer Rating

Wins

Playoff Wins

Super Bowls

Super Bowl Wins

You could have just said its funny because it's true but the emoticon works too if that's your thing.

Well this year Luck beat or tied wilson in 6 of the 9 categories you mentioned.

And 4 of your 8 "stats" are about wins... which let's look at his Defense vs Indys Defense. Or his RB vs Indys RB. Yet you use wins, 4 times!

Luck beats Wilson this year in:

Yards passing
Yards passing in domes
Yards passing on natural grass
Yards passing wearing a white uniform
Yards passing wearing a blue uniform

6 of 9 of those were a tie or went to luck this year. Good one though.

He didn't Think you'd Be Able To Name those

Luck crushed Wilson in the horrible beard category, while Wilson thrashed Luck in the having your high school sweetheart wife get railed by Golden Tate category.

Tossup

Career stats > single year stats. Good one though.

I'll let this topic get back on track, you can continue to take it off the tracks if you want but I won't be posting about Luck or Wilson in this topic anymore.

haha right when you lose the argument you run. But okay. Wilson has had a better career based on his teammates, but as of now looking at last year Luck is better.

But yes, neither are 25 or under and you brought them up.

Bridgewater

Mettenberger

dark horse in the race-RG3.
dude, don't get racist
not at all. He's been up, then down, outplayed by Colt McCoy, didn't even make OPs list...despite his struggles, he could still possibly maybe be a special QB
You clearly didn't get his reference to you saying "dark horse".
You reply how you like, I will my own way.

I prefer those painted horses from Spain, btw, not sure what their breed is

Somebody has to get married with the right coordinator or coach. Out of the names in the OP Garropolo has the best shot at a great situation as of right now.

I own Wilson in my dynasty league, and there is NO WAY any sane person would prefer him over Luck,

...and the best QB under 25 must be some kid in high school.

All of the ones in the NFL and college right now are not that great.

There a kid in high school better than Mariota?
